TV actors comment on whether Facebook is a waste of time or not...

On asking what the greatest invention of the contemporary times is, many Internet users will immediately say, 'Facebook.' It has further minimised the six degrees of separation. Facebook members have found their long lost friends, classmates and acquaintances through it. Through one status update you can communicate with hundreds and thousands of people at one go.

Let us accept it, Facebook is addictive though. You may log in thinking you will just check the remarks of your status update in a minute but may linger on for an hour, replying to maybe the debate your update may have kicked off. You may start checking the homepages of your family members, colleagues, friends, enemies, romantic partner, prospective lovers and ex-lovers. If you are an online game addict, you may be immersed in your fictitious farm or fish tank. You may go on doing various kinds of quizzes ranging from What Island Fruit are You? to Are You an iPhone or an iPad?. Or you may be busy consulting Facebook's celebrity virtual fortune tellers like Mystic Meg, Paul- the Mystic Octopus, Fortune Cookie or God who goes with the name 'Message from God'. Wondering as to whether your sweetheart and enemies are visiting your profile, you may avail the option of the application which solemnly vows to reveal your 'profile stalkers'. If your chat is open, maybe you will be tempted to chat with multiple Facebook friends simultaneously. Maybe you will be sending friends' requests to people you don't know despite the fact that it is against the Facebook rules, maybe what drew you to do that is that the person has an attractive profile picture which may kindle romantic interest for him or her.

We just highlighted to you the cases in which Facebook may be a 'waste of time'. We asked your favourite TV actors if they think if this social networking site is a waste of time too. This is what they said

Facebook used for the correct purpose is constructive. Facebook used for time pass and fun is destructive.
