GOSSIP: The Channel Returns Back the Favor

When this new channel launched last year with productions, this small production house was among the first ones to sell its work to it. At that time the channel was willing to pay a huge amount of money on anything that had quality.

The production house that had ALREADY sold its soap to another channel, which was and still is trying to rejuvenate, ended up selling the soap to this new channel for more money and exposure.

The production house thought it will be able to sell more to this channel and had nothing to do with the smaller channel, which has yet to break the jinx. On the production house's part it said the reason to terminate the contract was the fact that the small channel was in financial trouble and had problems in making payments to other production houses.

The small channel had already started promoting the soap, starring a big female star, on the channel but things went kaput.

The small channel started concentrating on other things and the production house stayed happy working on other projects for the new big channel. But, then, the surprising thing happened. The new channel, infamous for its foreign content, said it does not have any time slot for the production house.

In times when no other Pakistani channel was willing to buy their ready-to-air production, the channel went to the small channel, which is trying to rise up for the last time. The channel told something on the lines, "thooka hua mat chaato" making it clear that it was not interesting in anything produced by it, especially when big production houses are willing to work with this channel.

The small production house is now sitting trying to get some slot. All we can say is " serves you right!"
