the answers from the first commenter and starstruckk are awesome. I know HOW zaroon is and it shud irritate us all, but since we live in a male dominated society, i dont think hes to be blamed, he shouldnt have scolded Asmara, but if he says anything to his sister, i dont think hes doing wrong. Double standards kahin kahin banta hai...

I don't think zaroon's character is supposed to be irritating, I think his view points are shown to be right

Why shouldnt they? :S People should focus on protecting themselves rather than blaming other people.

Wow, I always thought a girl who hides her beauty was less likely to be stared at. :S

I have read that in old times even non-Muslims in Europe would keep their heads covered when going outside to keep themselves protected.

I guess it's just the way our society has become today, no one is safe.

But I still think wearing appropriate clothing lowers the risk.

Personally, since I have started wearing Hijaab, I feel much more safer when I go out.

It would be good if people didn't have to go out of the way to 'protect' themselves due to society's double standards

Yes but thats just how society has become today, the men of our society have made their own so called religious facts and think that they own women when both genders should be equal :S
