Q. Dimple: What are the movies you are doing now?
I've just completed Nautanki Saala with Rohan Sippy.
Q. ShwetaLovesYou: Are you going to host the next season of Just Dance?
All I will say is that hosting on television will be selective now.
Q. GGwhiz: What's better – television or movies?
Movies of course! India mein cricket aur Bollywood are the biggest.
Q. Deval: How does it feel to gain sudden success as an actor and singer for the same film?
Awesome!! It's a double whammy!
Q. Deval: How do you balance between singing and acting?
I'm an actor who sings and not a singer who acts. So, singing always takes a backseat.
Q. Anisha: When can we hear another song from you?
I'm singing two songs for Nautanki Saala. The music will be out in December.
Q. Mohit: What role has poetry played in your life?
Poetry helps me observe life. Most of my blogs are satires on real life observations.
Q. John: Which is your favourite song?
Since you are John… ahem… it would be Rum whiskey.
Q. Vivek: Why such a slow approach to your career?
I take it slow because I'm a professional donor.
Q. John: Have you studied music?
As a kid, I used to take vocal training. I never took it seriously though.
Q. P Agarwal: What kind of roles do you want to do in the future?
Anything that excites me! I don't plan things in life.
Q. Radhiah: You have the sweetest smile a man can have. Is it your USP?
Thanks a lot. I can't say that. These dimples are just dents on my face. Overrated!
Q. Sibtain: Did you plan to become an actor?
I always wanted to be an actor. It was my secret plan.
Q. Ajay: What's your take on Vicky Donor not being nominated for the Oscars?
I
don't expect much from life anyway. I'm happy that people are talking
about it and carrying this debate forward. I do feel bad though for my
director Shoojit Sircar and writer Juhi Chaturvedi who thought of such
an original script.
Q. Naksh: Tell us something interesting about your Vicky Donor co-star Yami Gautam.
Hey Naksh, Yami is fair and lovely and uses a Samsung phone.
Q. Priya: Who are the actresses you wish to work with?
I'd really like to work with Anushka Sharma, Deepika Padukone and Parineeti Chopra.
Q. Pooja: How was it working with Kunal Roy Kapoor in Nautanki Saala?
Kunal is a super performer. You'll see a total transition in him from Delhi Belly to Nautanki Saala.
Q. Radhiah: Who do you think could be your competitor for the best debut award?
My film's a superhit. That's my award.
Q. Kainat: What's tougher – singing or acting?
Singing. It's more technical. Acting has no rules.
Q. Ajay: If not an actor, what would you have become?
I have been a radio presenter, television anchor and I'm a singer too. So if not an actor, I'd have these options.
Q. Jasleen: Did doing theatre and street plays help you as an actor?
Of
course! Theatre was my learning ground. I had formed two theatre groups
in Chennai as well. But theatre and films are different. You have to
unlearn a lot of stuff. There are no close shots in plays.
Q. Radhiah: Where do you see yourself five years from now?
In my early '30s. Very much alive and kicking.
Q. Sibtain: How do you deal with success or failure?
I'm a dark horse! I'm self-made and have the wisdom to deal with both the situations.
Q. Titas: On what grounds do you choose a film?
I go with my gut and the other person's credibility.
Q. Sabeen: What kind of negative role would you like to play if given a chance?
Shah Rukh Khan's in Darr or the joker of the The Dark Knight.
Q. Adarsh: Which are the five directors you wish to work with?
Rajkumar Hirani, Imtiaz Ali, Dibaker Bannerji, Maneesh Sharma and Vishal Bhardwaj
Q. Samchats: On a scale of 1 to 10, how would you rate yourself as an actor?
5.
Q. Hrishant: Are you looking forward to directing a film in the future?
Don't know man! Pehele acting toh seekh loon.
Q. Titas: Among the young actors, whom do you consider your biggest competition and why?
There's
no competition. We are all so different and awesome in our own way!
This is the best era of Indian cinema where people are looking beyond
nepotism.
