9th February, 2002. London. Sonny Walia. I wore a lehenga and Sonny wore a sherwani. Love. One and half years. It was a Rolex (identical ring for both), in platinum band with diamonds and the edges had gold lines. Honesty, sense of humour, warm and sensitive nature. The entire wedding. It was an English wedding ceremony, where we read vows and I let him give me a slight peck on my lips instead of a kiss because I was too embarrassed in front of my relatives. Both the families helped each other in arrangements and decision-makings, unlike in India where the girl's family does everything. |
