OS : The Light...That Ends
Hatred?
Betrayal?
Deceit?
"I have never..." she thought as despair finally consumed her...
No longer able to hear what was going on around her...
No longer able to bear the pain that was striking her heart...
No longer was she filled with faith of any kind...
She ran.
Past her husband.
Away from her family.
Away from where her heart and soul had died.
Although Arnav tried to reach for her, she escaped past.
"Khushi!?!"
Did he call her name?
Did she have any remaining strength to listen to his rejection...
ASR had entered the building, ready to take revenge for his mother.
His heart had been overridden by his past...
But as Khushi slipped out of his grasp, he realized his fatal mistake...
Her words slammed down hard on his heart...
"...no...NO! KHUSHI!?!"
He yelled out in horror as she fled for her life...
Stinging tears blurred her sight...
And yet she ran on...
Muffled screams haunted her ...
And yet she ran on...
Arnav's vision was suddenly overridden with a bright shining light...
As he ran, he shielded his eyes, only to be plunged further into terror...
A truck.
Adrenalin pumped through him at lightening speed..."KHUSHI! GET OFF THE ROAD! KHUSHI!!!"
Khushi saw the light.
It began to heat her body.
It blocked out all sights around her.
The intensity of it overrode her entire empty body...
Arnav's heart knew what was coming.
"No...NO! NO DON'T DO THIS! KHUSHI!"
The yowl of the trucks horn echoed through the air as a deafening warning...
But Khushi had lost it all.
Arnav howled in pure horror as he witnessed his wife get struck to the ground...
A beastlike scream tore from his body...
He fell at Khushi's side...
Blood.
Blood.
Flowing through the crevices in the road beneath her crushed body...
His voice was gone...only begging, rasping cries remained...
He heard bloodcurdling wails fill the air around him as their families approached...
His eyes lamented over the body of his wife...
Laying his fingers on her neck, he desperately searched for a pulse...
Her blood began to gush over his hand...
"Kh...Khushi..."
At his call, her eyes flickered open...
"A...arnavji..." blood began to gurgle up into her throat...
His eyes showed the depth of his sorrow and regret..."Don't...Don't Khushi...Hold on...SOMEONE CALL AND AMBULANCE!!!"
Arnav saw her mouth moving and he leaned in close, desperate to hear her...
"I...don't...don't belong...here...anymore..."
Tears were dripping furiously from his eyes..."No Khushi...No...I love you...I love you! I LOVE YOU! DON'T LEAVE ME KHUSHI!"
With trembling lips, she continued..."We...we might...might find a place together...one day...but for now...my heart is gone...no one has it..."
Arnav wept hard..."No...I WANT YOUR HEART! I NEED IT! I..."
"Khus...Khushi no longer exists..."
"What about us! I came for you! I know it didn't seem..."
His words were cut short by her spluttering cough...
Blood sprayed across his clothing...
"...no...we've...we've tried...but life doesn't want us together..."
The tears from his eyes mingled with the blood that was steadily leaving her body...
He heard sirens in
the distance..."Hold on...Hold on Khushi...I want us together! I DO! Don't
leave me!"
Her eyes now filled with tears, driving stakes further into Arnav's heart...
"I...I have...have to leave you behind...But I have no more faith...I have no more heart left...left to break..."
He placed his hand over her heart, only to see the ripped fabric, and torn flesh...
He let out a sickly groan as what he saw...
"No...Khushi...Khushi please hold on..please...I'll give you the wedding of your dreams! I'll make you happy! I promise!"
Her lips briefly twisted into a smile, the last one of hers that he would ever see..."I have to...have to leave now..."
"NO...No KHUSHI NO PLEASE!"
And with her last breath, she breathed the words..."I'll miss you..."
