ok, but forget the book..& see the drama. 😆

so what is this one about?? 😆

Malal's about this girl (Sarwat) who likes passing time chatting with this guy in the USA. She usually chats with him quite a lot & this leads to the guy falling in love with her & becoming serious about her. However, Sarwat never takes him seriously and considers it all a passing time kind of thing. This hurts the guy who she chatted with all along & he becomes negative about life. In the meantime, Sarwat likes guys that are older than her..& she would rather marry an older guy like that played by Faisal Rehman..who I think is her cousin..or a family friend. So, Faisal Rehman lives in the USA & is very close friends with this woman played by Deepti Gupta. They're really close friends in the USA..& the drama revolves around their friendship..& Sarwat's liking towards Faisal Rehman & then how the guy who she chatted with..who deals with his heartbreak by Sarwat. Imran Abbas is also in the play & he's Sarwat's cousin & he comes to the USA & becomes friends with Deepti Gupta's character.

It's a really nice story & very different. It's by Umera Ahmed & directed by Mehreen Jabbar..you'll love it...here's the OST:

Mehreen Jabbar is a really good director..she directed Malal, Daam, Doraha, Harjae & many more dramas. She's actually one of the best directors in Pakistan. Her last 2 projects haven't been as good as her other work but she's still up there. Malal is a masterpiece..so is Daam.

ive only seen mata e jaan and doraha...doraha was good but didnt like the way its directed!

Her last two dramas have been Neeyat (which actually had Mahira in it) & it wasn't all that great. & then there's Mata e Jaan. Besides these two dramas, Mehreen has always been impressive with her direction..the rest is your opinion. :p..but, I think you'll like Malaal.

and prob neeyat too just for mahira, lol...i think that was her first!
