OMG I caught this on youtube.. definitely going to watch it.. such a hrd hitting subject and I'm really glad that they made a serial on such an important issue.. killing their own kids because their sins would be washed off and they would get money.. These babas need to be shot dead.. I'm serious.. the person who is responsible for the death for innocent kids has no right to be alive..

n just wait for sami's promo if u had not watched it still

m hating the role

was eagerly waiting for the play becoz of sami faisal n mohib working together

but sami's role spoiled my mood =((

I don't understand the name, what's sabaz pari and laal kabootar? and I don't get the issue which this show is made on either, can someone please explain? Don't live in Pakistan so not really familiar with it...

I think there will be some importance of sabz pari and laal kabootar in the serial later on.. I see Katrina on the cover and she is wearing a green saree so she symbolizes the sabz pari..

Issue in this promo is how poor people get involved the peer baba chakkar and the baba's or peer's tell them to sacrifice their kids.. in this way they will either get money, gold, way to heaven or even get their kids back..

like Hindu's do bali for the forgiveness of their sins.. this is also something like that..

it is prevalant in the lower classes.. I still remember a case where the father beheaded his 3 daughters because he turned gay after marriage and when he realized he was doing wrong some tableeghi jamaat asked him to sacrifice his kids so his sins would be washed.. It was a big news back in 2006-2007..some big names were involved in it so the case was never solved and everything turned hush hush.. they also showed his wife's interview who said she is more sad for her husband because he is in jail and not her daughters.. I wanted to kill her seriously.. Pathetic woman

Sabz Pari refers to a drug, cannabis and heroin especially in this case, I think. Laal Kabootar is money, bills...what buys and gets the addicts their 'sabz pari'...it's a metaphor for this fantastical escape from reality and all its problems for these people. If you've seen the promos and the first episode, it'll become clearer...the main character played by FQ is a poor rickshaw driver who uses what he earns and even borrows money from others to get a high, while his four children and wife starve at home. These promos are pretty explanatory...

"Jo laal kabootar tujhe de diya...toh meri sabz pari kaise aayegi." Basically saying that if I spend my money buying fruit for my daughters, what will be left for me to buy my drugs with?

And Mohib plays the dealer, who works at a paan shop and in lieu distributes the drugs to his customers...he explains in this promo how it's a 'side business' necessary to satiate hunger...'Sabz pari chahiye? Toh laal kabootar dheela kar...' If you want the drugs, loosen up and hand over those bills!
