TOI: Rakhi Vijans back on TV

As Sweetie in Hum Paanch, this girl with the golden locks did justice to her role and one that no one could play better than her.

We're talking about TV actress Rakhi Vijan. When asked if the role of Sweetie from Hum Paanch seems to have become her identity, Rakhi replies, "It was just a character I played which got very popular. I still remember one of my aunts had actually come and consoled my mother saying that they felt sorry for her and even told her that I was mad! It is not necessary that a person is what he/she enacts as a character".


Rakhi has been away from the glam world for quite some time until she participated in Bigg Boss season 2 followed by Laughter Ke Phatke. She has also played roles in films like Golmaal Returns. And now this immensely talented girl is back on the small screen in Saurabh Tewari's new venture Madhubala - Ek Ishq Ek Junoon on Colors Tv.

She plays the role of Roma, who is a junior artist in films. So, why did Rakhi break her own rule of not entering daily soaps? "I've not broken my rule. I chose this role as it is a comic one and I wouldn't agree to do a rona-dhona character anymore. I'm very clear on that".

Audiences will see Rakhi returning to the small screen in a fully-filmy daily soap.
