Everything about his wife screamed the need for a strong lover, strong protector, strong husband...
Figuratively and literally.
He met her stare dead on and refused to back down.
A few beats passed.
Then she turned away with a nervous expression, obviously irritated she'd lost the skirmish.

A smile played about his lips.

He closed the distance between them.
Khushi's eyes were shooting out sparks as she saw him close in on her...
Sexy, scruffy stubble hugged a perfectly sculpted jaw and set off the sensual curve to his bottom lip.
His eyes glimmered with a controlled strength and he moved with a predatory grace as he crossed the room.
A shiver tingled down her spine.
The thin white shirt and black pants did nothing to mask his rock hard body.
Khushi tried to control the dip in her tummy when he stood beside her.

Because of Khushi, he now believed in forever.
"Excuse me everyone!" Anjali's voice rang out...
"As you know, we are all here tonight to celebrate the safe rescue of Khushiji and Chote, PLUS the 6 month anniversary of BOTH of my brothers...So thankyou all for coming and please enjoy yourselves...but first...I would like to invite the two couples to the dancefloor for their anniversary dance!"

A hint of victory marred the carved lines of his face, or the steady gleam in his eye.

He slyly smiled and offered his hand.
She blinked up at him and tried to calm her features.
The glint of purpose in his earthy eyes told her he knew her thoughts.
The turn of events in their lives suddenly slammed into her like a launched champagne cork.

The answering thrill hit her body as fast as her mind.
She grew wet and achy, ready for him to take charge.

As Arnav led Khushi to the dancefloor, he took charge of the room as if he owned it, and her.
A shiver slid down her spine as he took her hand in his, and pulled her close...
Her heart thundered with a strange mixture of fear and anticipation.
She sucked in her breath at the flash of his sexy smile...
He leaned forward an inch so his warm breath struck her trembling lips.
Arnav took in the slight widening or her gorgeous eyes and held back a chuckle.
The feisty, strong, Queen of his heart seemed off balance, and he loved every moment of it.
He intended to use the next few hours wisely...

The woman in front of him called to every sense of challenge in his arsenal...
Her very demeanor called to his soul to complete him.
Khushi's nerves, however, were teetering on the edge of acceptance and rebellion.
They're eyes danced as their feet moved slowly across the floor...
Their lips were close enough to taste spicy desire...
"So do you think we'll get arrested for this?" His gravelly voice was low...
With every ounce of her strength she replied..."For what?"
"Making love in public?"
Shocked into the moment, she tried to pull back, but his vise-like grip held her steady...
"What are you talking about!? We're not doing anything!" her voice was louder than she had wanted it to be...
But Arnav didn't care who heard, or who saw...
"We already have...We've been making love with our eyes since we first saw each other..."
He felt her pulse speed up as his hand held hers...
Her face softened as she realized what he meant...
"My eyes drink you in Khushi...My eyes caress you...Your face has never been far from my thoughts...never...I feel your presence stronger than my own...When I look at you, my eyes heat up, my heart heats up...I love you...I love you so much..."
As her emotion rained forth from her eyes, her lips trembled, trying to reply...
"Now, close your eyes and don't open them until I tell you."
Khushi's eyelids slowly sealed...
