OS : My Boomerang Won't Come Back

Their car lazily drove through the outback of Australia...

"Kanga!!!" baby Simran called out...

"Roo!" added Arnav...

"ROO!!" Simran laughed happily...

"No no...He means...KangaRoo!" Khushi said laughing at their banter...

"Ooohh...Kanga...roo!"

"Beautifully said..." Anjali beamed with pride looking at her 2 year old baby girl...

"I can't believe that NK lives out here! No wonder he wanted us to visit him! It's beautiful!" Khushi drank in the delicious surroundings...

"I know Khushiji...I'm so glad that the four of us have all travelled together..."

"If he starts to irritate me, we're going to a hotel..." Arnav said curtly...

Shaking her head, Anjali scoffed at him..."Chote...we've travelled all this way to see him working on his farm...he graciously offered us accommodation on his ranch, so please relax and try to enjoy yourself..."

"Rangakoo!!!" Simran screamed out...

"Kangaroo!" they all said in unison...

Pulling up in front of a massive wooden fence, Arnav stepped out to unlatch it, marvelling at the expanse of the surroundings...

They drove for another 10 minutes up the dirt track towards a beautiful red brick house...

No sooner had they parked their car, Nk came bounding out the front door with a massive smile on his face.

"Hello hello!!! Welcome!!"

"Nahneji!" Khushi squeeled as she jumped out of the car before Arnav had a chance to open her door...
Anjali unbuckled her daughter from her carseat and smiled bright seeing the two friends reunite...

But Arnav's eyes were burning a slow fire of jealousy...

Since Shyam had been taken out of the picture and was spending the rest of his life in jail, no man had ever come within an inch of Khushi...

This is what he dreaded.

He immediately recognized that same old jealous pull at his heart that he felt when he first saw NK and Khushi together...

Although Nk hadn't hugged or even touched Khushi, Arnav strode purposefully towards his wife and tugged her close against him...

NK nervously smiled up at Arnav..."Nanav...Hey!"

Arnav extended his hand to shake and gripped tightly when NK accepted...

"DI!" NK turned to Anjali..."And who is this little delight...?" he smiled towards Simran who gave a rosy cheeked smile...

As Anjali spoke cheerfully with NK, Arnav pulled Khushi around to face him...

Glancing quickly towards his sister, and his rival, his hands slid slowly up her arms...

His touch still gave her shivers...

Khushi looked up at her husband and saw his hard, determined expression...

"Arnavji? what's...?"

His hands reached her face, he firmly entwined his fingers in her hair and lowered his mouth to hers, running his tongue along her lower lip...

Khushi's hands came up to his chest...

"Don't you dare even TRY to push me away..." he growled softly...

"Arnavji...we...we have to..."

"Ma, Dey are smooching again..." Simran laughed at them as she pointed in their direction...

Arnav and Khushi sprang apart...

"Chote! Honestly!" Anjali picked up Simran as NK offered to show them around...

As Anjali walked past them, she whispered..."Behave!"

Khushi smirked at Arnav and followed Anjali inside...

Once inside, they were introduced to NK's friend Jake...

"He works with me on the farm, helps with the horses..."

Jake held out his hand to shake Khushi's, but Arnav quickly intercepted, greeting him as Khushi put her hands together saying, "Namaste..."

The Australian accent was strange to Khushi...

Arnav grinned as he saw her brows wrinkle up in confusion...

"So 'you' are Khushi!? NK has told me a LOT about you..." Jake said with a new tone flickering in his voice...

"Yes...I'm Khushi...What did Nahneji say?"

Jake grinned saying, "Only that you were as spicy as chilli and bouncy as a boomerang..."

NK went bright red and exchanged glances with Arnav who suddenly did NOT want to hear anymore...

He was almost about to intervene when Anjali asked him to hold Simran...

"NK do you mind if I get settled in...we're still trying to wrestle with the time difference..."

"Oh sure sure! Here, I'll show you your rooms..."

As they tried to settle in, Khushi told Anjali to go and rest while they look after Simran for a while...

Thankful for the break, Anjali went to her room to sleep...

Khushi unpacked, every now and then smiling at Arnav who was lifting the baby girl up in the air and then blowing bubble on her tummy, making her laugh hysterically...

Back in the kitchen though, NK's heart was warring with itself...

"So...do you need anything from the market? I'm heading up there in a few minutes..." Jake said interrupting NK's thoughts...

"Uh...No...No we have everything we need..."

Jake surveyed the expression on his face..."What's wrong mate?"

Boomerangs, when thrown, fly back to you...NK said Khushi was as bouncy as a boomerang... he said "my boomerang won't come back" coz he knew he could never have her...

Awwh, this was such a cute OS! Loved it to bits dear...😊 Bouncy as a Boomerang - What an adorable analogy!! Disheartened for NK though. 😔 He was crazy and genuinely drawn towards Khushi.
