LEAP 2 - EPISODE # 9

"RECOGNITION COMES CLOSER"

Kishna is pleased that he is getting a Tulsi plant and takes it from Tulsi. He asks for her blessings and leaves. KT is angry and says that he can act very well and leaves.

Ba is in her room and asks Mihir to come and join her for the pooja. Mihir is reluctant and says that he is not interested. Ba says that if Tulsi would have been here, then he would have come and therefore, he must come too. Mihir says that if Tulsi would have been here, he might have hated her, but after her death, everything has just changed. Ba mentions that Mihir might think that he is the one who caused the accident, but whatever happened was at the will of God and they must accept that. With this, Ba leaves with Mihir.

The pooja is all under way and Tulsi is performing the main ceremony on the banks of River Ganga and Ba comes with Mihir, Manthan and Bhoomi. Ba is all excited and KT is besides Tulsi. The ceremony is over and Tulsi is offering the aarti to all the devotees and Mihir yells out and Tulsi thinks that it might be Mihir. Tulsi looks around and Mihir comes and takes the aarti from the other side and goes away. Tulsi thinks that it might be her disillusion and leaves.

Mohini and Meera are walking in the streets and Meera steps on cow dung. Mohini laughs and says that this is something pure and Tulsi used to say that this is equal to the river Ganga. Meera is mad and says that she doesn't want to hear the name Tulsi again and just as she turns her head around, she sees Tulsi and yells out her name. Mohini is all hyped up and mentions that Meera is just in a different world and runs away on the precept that her daughter, Archita is calling her. Meera thinks that she cannot be wrong and runs up to a woman that has the same attire as Tulsi, but is someone else.

Ba is walking with Bhoomi and Bhoomi leaves her and walks away saying that she is not interested in all this dirt. Ba is upset and thinks that if Tulsi would have been here, then they would have the sanskars. As she is walking, she slips down as KT comes and saves her. Ba is happy and KT takes care of her and talks with Ba. Ba mentions that she is happy and will get her Tulsi today. KT then understands that Kishna is her great grandson and was getting the plant for her. KT says that she wants her to come and visit them as they are close to their hotel and Ba promises to come with Kishna.

Meera runs up to a priest and finds out about Tulsi who is called "Badi Ba" in Haridwar and all respect her as she has started a new organization and has developed a relationship of love and brotherhood among residents of the town 20 yrs. ago. Meera is shocked and thinks that she cannot let Mihir meet Tulsi as they both must be pining for each other and vows to prevent their union.

Well...Tushar gets more and more of a role as the days go by...today's episode was mostly about him...

Eppy begins with Prem taking the new guy inside where Bajaj, Prerna and Mahesh have also arrived. Bajaj asks him who he is and why he is there. First, the guy says that he is Tushar's friend, but when Tushar comes in he says that he doesn't know him. Then, the guy says that he was called there by Doris...she had told him that there was no one at home. Well, we know that he is lying, so does that mean that Doris is innocent after all?

Rishu throws the guy out with such wonderful, manly force...and then tells Prerna in a decidedly cold tone to let him know what she decides to do about this. He leaves, as does Sneha, Prem and Mahesh. Doris tells Prerna that she has never met that guy before. Prerna tells Tushar to take Doris to their room...

Doris cries and cries, saying that she has no idea who that guy is...Mukti comes in and comforts her, saying that nobody is against Doris...aww, what a sweetie, I love this girl...she says that there is deffo someone who wants to break their house apart and who doesn't want Tushar and Doris to live in that house. Tushar's thoughts immediately stray towards Prem and his recent behaviour...I can see where Tushar is coming from, but somehow I don't think its Prem...

He goes into Prem's room where he is listening to music, as soon as Tushki comes in, Prem changes the radio station where the song "Joru Ka Ghulam" is playing, conveniently enough... He says this song is apt for you, right?

Prem turns the music off and Tushki starts blaming him for what has happened...he said that he was silent when Prem forced him out of his company...Prem stops him there, saying that it was Tushar's decision to resign, there was no ulterior involvement. Tushar tells Prem that if he finds out that Prem is behind this, he will not spare him...then he makes the mistake ( why Tushki, why?) of mentioning Mukti's name...saying that she was the one who alerted him to this idea....Prem's expressions show hurt at Mukti's "accusation"..he says that he doesn't want to initiate a rivalry between him and Tushar, because he does not consider them equal...he wonders why Tushar married Doris if he cannot handle her, why did he bring an "Imported Piece" into the house? Prem and Tushar come to blows and Prerna and Bajaj come in, having heard the commotion.

Rishu says that there is no point in blaming people now, truth will inevitably come out like it has today....MR. BAJAJ! shouts Tushar! Oh.My.God. everybody is shocked...

He says that he will not tolerate his wife's insult anymore (Doris and Mukti have by this time also come into Prem's room). He leaves with Doris, and everyone else follows suit. Prem mutters to himself, "Why does everyone in this house have a problem with me?" Prem honey...why do you have a problem with everyone in this house? And then he says something which to the casual eye would be just a passing comment, but to a premika, it is worth gold. He says..."yeh Mukti.."...his eyes tell us that he is hurt by her insinuation, concerned about why she thinks so badly of him and perhaps confused about why he cares. Yay...

Rishu goes to his room and cries...Prerna lays a hand on his shoulder and he laments at how, being a father, he cannot express his love for his children in the same way that a mother can....but that doesn't mean that he loves them any less...hmmm...dialogue from Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, anyone?

PM's event seems a never-ending deal...today we are introduced to Gary, the city's best designer, who is of course gay (are all fashion designers gay or is this just a stereotype?), even if no mention of his homo/hetero - sexuality is made...

Gary shows Issh some "dresses" for her to wear, and she very sweetly (and comically, I might add!) tells him that she doesn't wear handkerchiefs... He gets offended and tells Mukti that he doesn't change his collections for anyone...Issh tells Mukti that she too is a girl and she knows that the Bajaj-Basu families' reputations are at stake and if Debo wore such a costume, they would be severly embarrassed in public...Mukti says that she understands the Basu connection, but what have the Bajaj family got to do with Debo? Well, Prem is a member of the Bajaj family, is he not, Mukti? Issh makes some comment about how the two families are and always have been inextricably linked.

Mukti tells Debo to choose another dress from Gary's collection and to wear that. Then she leaves.

Prem enters the rehearsal hall, he and Mukti ignore each other and he enters the dressing room, where he sees Issh's choice of dress...a long, green ensemble. He tells her it is disgusting, he says that they are not making Mughal-e-Azamand asks who chose it...Gary says "Your team"...uh, Gary, it was less of a team and more of Debo herself....but Prem takes that to be Mukti and Issh heartily agrees and says that it was Mukti's choice... Iss Debo ki to....khair nahin....Prem gets annoyed and calls Mukti. Episode ends there. Uh oh...methinks poor Mukti is in for more drama tomorrow...
