DOTW & GOTW?

I'm just wondering... we used to have GOTW's & DOTW's before... Why did they suddenly disappear... and why aren't there any now... I now Seer used to open such topics... but since she's ghone.. Can member do it? Or if mods. could post a sign up sheet... I'm sure many will participate...
Anyone know anything??
