Deepti Gupta is a name to reckone with. The US based actress is known Internationally thanks to her contribution to American theatre, Indian industry, and Pakistani Drama Industry.

The talented actress was inroduced by Mehreen Jabbar, who finished her studies in US, and found Deepti while doing so.She has done numerous memorable roles in Pakistani Dramas her 1st tv appearance was in Pehchaan and then after that she gave splendid performance in Manay Na Yeh Dil as Zainab and overshadowed establish tv actors like Aisha Khan and Faysal Qureshi. Then successively brillaint performances in Ishq Junoon Deewangi and Malaal written by Umera Ahmed . Now recently she done slighty different and challenging roles in dramas, in Mastana Mahi she played Lilly the character of Escort which made everyone speechless with her fine performance and in Neeyat again directed by Mehreen and written by her Husband she is playing character of Mariyum with grey shades.

A:Deepti Gupta. Deepti means light or radiance.

2. Date of birth/place of birth

A:July 28, Delhi, India

3.What were you early in your life?

A:I was crazy about performing. Theatre, dance groups and competition, singing, painting. Didn't have any boyfriends. These days teenagers are dating, and some of my friends dated as teenagers then, but somehow it didn't work out for me

5.What made you choose acting as your career

A:When I was 7 years old I saw my Bua perform in a play and when I saw her backstage she was crying after the show because she was so moved by the performance. She couldn't shake it off. I must have thought that was amazing and magical. I think that is when I got hooked.

6.What are the actors you love watching on screen?

A:Aamir Khan, Dustin Hoffman, Meryl Streep, Ryan Gosling, Smita Patil, Javier Bardem, Kate Winslet.

7.Describe yourself in three words

A: Passionate. Energetic. Intelligent.

8.One true confession about you

A:I don't enjoy cooking. I cook when I have to or need to. But otherwise I prefer to have someone else cook for me.

9.How are your Sundays?

A: On Sundays I try to not do work related stuff, but its hard to avoid it.

10.Which song makes you crazy

A:Aaj Jaane Ki Zid Na Karo by Farida Khanum, Tamma Tamma Loge(film-Thanedar), any Madhuri Dixit and Sreedevi song, and Michael Jackson.

11.Are you into brands?

A:I am NOT brand conscious at all.

12.Your favourite cuisine

A:Thai, Malaysian, French, Creole, Indian, Pakistani, Korean, Japanese… Well, I guess I like it all. I am a foodie.

13.Your all time favourite movie

A:Lamhe, Sadma, Koshish, Beaches, The Imposters, Noises Off, Mr. India, Om Shanti Om, Peepli Live. There's more… but I can't think of them right now… Oh..Secrets and Lies

14.Your upcoming projects

A:Just co-produced and starred in a feature film that was filmed in New York. The film will be sent to film festivals when it is ready. Producing a web-series with my husband, he will write it. Rest is unpredictable. No Pakistani Dramas lined up at this point.
