I really cherish the day I first interacted with her on IF...

Here we go...

ONE SHOT... by MAHAK

My Life

"Ye kya hai Raj?"

Raj turned to found a fuming Naina standing behind him, he was not expecting her to be here at this time, "Tum yahan kya kar rahi ho is waqt?"

"Kyoun mujhe nahi aana chahiye th abhi yahan jis se mujhe ye pata chal sake ki tum ne itne badi baat mujh s chupaaye kaise?" She was still fuming over him.

Raj got confused kuch samajh nahi aa raha tha us ko ki Naina kis baare me baat kar rahi hai, "Aakhir hua kya hai aur maine aisa kiya kya hai?"

"Mujhe tum se ye umeed to nahi thi atleast."

"Naina mujhe kuh bhi samjah me nahi aa raha hai ki kehna kya chahti ho tum."

"Tum ne mujhe ?????.mujhe ye batane ki jaroorat nahi samjhi ki aaj??????..aaj ?????.", Raj was expecting her to finish soon.

"Aaj kya?"

"Ki aaj tumhara birthday hai." She came closer and hugged him tight. "Happy Birthday my love." She wished him.

Raj became surprised for a moment. No on ever except his younger sis ever wished him on his birthday. He always felt that he was alone in his life. Bachpan me us k maa baba chale gaye us k najuk kandhon pe us ki behan Pia ki zimmedari chod kar. Tab se Raj ki zindagi ka ek hi maksad tha bus kisi tarah Pia ki khushi ka khayal rakhna. Raj Pia k liye us ka bhai kam us ka maa papa dono ban chuka tha. Shayad isiliye us ne kabhi Pia ko apne se door nahi kiya tha ki agar vo door ho gayi to kaise jee sakega vo.Itna bada bussiness chod kar gaye the Raj k parents us k liye ki jis ki dekhbhaal karna asaan nahi tha par Raj ne apni himmat k bal pe aaj sab kuch manage kar hi liya tha. Par ek din jab Naina us ki zindagi me aayi.

Flashback:-

Aaj Pia ki sagai hai Abhay k saath aur Raj bahut busy hai. "Tum log ek bhi kaam theek se nahi kar sakte ho na dekho ye sab yahi pada hua hai. Mehmaan aate honge."

"Oho Raj puttar bus karna." Lalita jee Raj's massi. Raj ki maa k jaane k baad unhone Raj aur Pia ka bahut khayal rakha hai.

"Dekhiye massi abhi tak ye kaam bhi khatam nahi hua in logon ka."

"Oye tu thaand rakh dekh mai abhi kais in khotoyon se kaam kara leti hoon, tu ruk aur jaa k ready ho jaa ladke waale kabhi bhi aate honge."

Raj apni massi ki baat maan kar uper aaya aur vo jab Pia k room k saamne se gujra to us ki najar padi Pia par jo kisi baat ko le kar has rahi thi. Raj dhyaan se apn behan k chehre ki khushi dekhne laga. Samajh raha tha vo ki jab kisi insaan ko us ka pyaar mil jaata hai to kitna khush hota hai vo. Bilkul isi tarah se aaj Pia bhi khush thi bahut khush. Raj ko achanak se vo pal yaad aa gaya jab us ne pehli baar Pia se poocha tha Abhay k baare me.

Flashback two:-

"Piaaa??????pia???????",

"Haan bhaiya."

"Kuch baat karni hai tujh se."

"Boliye bhaiya."

"Vo ladka kaun tha jo tujhe kal ghar chodn aaya tha?" Raj looked at Pia's face.

Pia was surprised to know that Raj has seen her with someone, she was finding it hard to answer. "Vo bhaiya??????.vo na???????mere class me hai." It was hard for her to answer.

"Naam kya hai us ka?"

This was getting really hard for Pia to answer now, how can she speak about her love life to his elder brother so normally? "Bhai..ya us ka naam Abhay Raichand hai"

"Kab se jaanti ho us ko?"

"Bhaiya??????do maheeno se."

Raj kuch sochne laga aur fir us ne Pia se kaha, "accha tu jaa."

Pia ghabrayi se aayi apne room me aur us ne fauran Abhay ko call kiya, "Abhay."

"Haan Pia kya baat hai tum itna ghabrayi hue kyoun lag rahi ho?"

"Bhaiya ne kal hum dono ko saath me dekh liy tha ur tumhare baare me pooch rhe the abhi."

"Theek hai to kya hua?"

"Abhay?????..mujhe bahut dar lag raha hai, sab theek hoga na kuch kahin gadbad to nahi ho jaayga?"

"Relax Pia kuch nahi hoga, sab theek hoga. Tumhe mujh par bharosa hai?"

"Haan." She whispered.

"Bus to yakeen rakho mai kuch galat nahi hon doonga. Hume kabhi koi ek doosre se juda nahi kar sakta hai."

"Mai bhi yahi chahti hoon Abhay."

Flashback two over

Phir vo pal jab Raj ne Abhay aur us ki family k baare me sab kuch jaane k baad Abhay ko us se milne k liye bulaya tha. Kaafi lambi baat cheet hue dono k beech aur finally Raj ko ye ehsaas ho hi gaya ki Abhay bahut khush rakhega us ki Pia ko.

"To tum ho Abhay?"

"Yes sir." He was nervous.

"Baitho."

Abhay seated, "To Pia aur tumhara kya rishta hai?"

Abhay looked at his stern face, "vo mai aur Pia??.. matlab hum???..k doosre se pyaar karte hain."

"Kya socha hai aage?"

"Jee?"

"Tum samjhe nahi shayad maine kaha Pia k saath time pass kab tak karne ka irada hai?"

"Mai time pass nahi kar raha hoon sir????..mai us se shaadi karna chahta hoon." He was getting more nervous with each passing second.

"Ye mujhe bus behlane k liye bol rahe ho na?"

"Nahi sir?????aisa kuch nahi hai."

"To kaisa hai?"

"Sir mujhe shaadi karni hai us se."

"Agar tumhare ghar waale nahi maane to?"

"Kuch bhi ho jaaye mujhe Pia se koi alag nahi kar sakta." He was determined and his determination in eyes impressed Raj a lot.

"Aur aage kya karoge agar tumhare ghar waale tumhe apne saath nahi rehne denge to?"

"Sir jab tak in haathon me takat hai tab tak mai Pia ko kabhi bhi koi dukh aur koi dard nahi chune doonge chahe kuch bhi ho jaaye."

Back to Raj:-

"Pata nahi meri zindagi me kya likha hai? Shayad mai akela hi rahoon humesha." Achanak se Raj k dimaag me ye khayal aaya.

Raj apne room me gaya aur ready ho kar jab neeche aaya to dekhta hai saara kaam ho chuka tha bus ladke waale bhi aa gaye. Raj ne un ka welcome kiya aur thodi der baad Pia ko neeche laaya gaya vo aaj is lehnge me pariyon jaise khoobsurat lag rahi thi. Khush ho bhi kyoun na aakhir aaj se vo apn Abhay k saath officially judne waali thi.

Jald hi ring ceremoney start ho gayi par jaise hi Abhay Pia ko ring pehanne waala tha, koi vahan aaya jis ne kaha, "Ruk jaao ye sagai nahi ho sakti."

Sab ne palat k dekha us insaan ko jis ne ye kaha tha, Raj ne bhi mud kar dekha aur dekhne k baad dekhta hi reh gaya us ko. "Mere bina tum ne socha bhi kais ki ye sagai ho jaayegi?"

Abhay and Pia smiled and Raj looked at them in strange way, "Don't worry bhaiya ye meri badi behan Naina hain jo humesha mujhe isi trah se shock dete rehti hain." And all laughed, Naina too joined them and soon their engagement took place smoothly.

Abhay introduced Naina to Raj and she got impressed him in first meeting. Raj was shy and Naina noticed that, par pata nahi kyoun Raj ka ye nature Naina ko kaafi accha laga. Dheere dheere baatein mulakaatin badhti gayi aur dono kab ek doosre k dost se sab se acche dost ban gaye pata hi nahi chala. Fir ek din:-

"Hey Naina."

"Hi Raj."

"Kuch kaam tha tum se"

"Haan bolo."

"Kya sham ko 7:30 par mujhe coffee shop me milogi?"

"Ok."

"Than see u than bye take care."

At evening:-

Jab Naina coffee shop k andar aayi to aam dino ki bajay vahan bahut shaanti thi, koi dikhayi nahi de raha tha bahut andhera tha vahan.

"Hello koi hai?????..koi hai yahan?" she called.

Tabhi ek spot light Naina par giri. "Welcome Naina." Naina is awaaz ko bahut acchi tarah se pehchanti thi ye Raj ki awaaz thi.

"Raj kahan ho tum?"

"Yahan aane k liye shukriya." Aur fir saari lights ek saath jal gayi she was surprised to see beautiful decoration around her it was all her favorite.

"Ye sab kya hai Raj?"

He just smiled and said, "Ye sab tumhare liye hai, will u marry me?" he asked without any hesitation.

Naina was surprised to see him like this, she was unable to speak now.

"Kuch bolo Naina."

After a while she just nodded her head, "yes".

Back to present:-

Aaj Pia ki shaadi ho gayi aur vo apne ghar chali gayi, Raj ko is bhaag daud me khayal hi nahi raha ki aaj us ka birthday hai.

"Thanks Naina and love u too." He hugged her tight and said.

"Aise nahi." And suddenly all the lights put on and Raj saw a beautifully decorated hall with his favorite choice and all people around him wished him and applauded with cheers and wished him on his birthday. "Ab chalo dekho vahan kaun hai?"

He saw Pia smiling there with Abhay and she just came to wish him on his birthday. He hugged her with teary eyes, "Kaise hai tu?"

"Theek hoon bhaiya Happy Birthday bhaiya." She wished him and Abhay too.

"Chalo ab no more rona dhona aur cake cut karte hain ab." Naina bought them and Raj was really a happy man today. Now his life was complete having Pia, Abhay and most specially Naina around.
