Moderators are usually picked directly by the Development Group (Global Moderators and the Administrator). Quality and nature of posts are two factors looked at when considering new mods. This means the tone of your posts, neutrality, ability to solve conflicts/problems, and ability to work in a team are factored in. There is no minimum post count required.
