Really basic ones.

"Famous before he can walk and talk! Famous for something he won't even remember! Can't you see how much better off he'll be, growing up away from all that until he's ready to take it?"

To Cornelius Fudge:
"You are blinded," said Dumbledore, his voice rising now, the aura of power around him palpable, his eyes blazing once more, "by the love of the office you hold, Cornelius! You place too much importance, and you always have done, on the so-called purity of blood! You fail to recognize that it matters not what someone is born, but what they grow up to be!"

"It is our choices that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities." (personal fav)

"Anything's possible if you've got enough nerve."

"Ah music...a magic far beyond anything done here."

"Numbing the pain for a while will make it worse when you finally feel it." (another personal fav)

"There is no good and evil, there is only power... and those too weak to seek it."

'Now, see here, Dumbledore,' he said, waving a threatening finger. 'I've given you free rein, always. I've had a lot of respect for you. I might not have agreed with some of your decisions, but I've kept quiet. There aren't many who'd have let you hire werewolves, or keep Hagrid, or decide what to teach your students, without reference to the Ministry. But if you're going to work against me -'
'The only one against whom I intend to work,' said Dumbledore, 'is Lord Voldemort. If you are against him, then we remain, Cornelius, on the same side'.

'Youth cannot know how age thinks and feels. But old man are guilty if they forget what it was to be young ... and I seem to have forgotten, lately.'

'But I knew, too, where Voldemort was weak. And so I made my decision. You would be protected by an ancient magic of which he knows, which he despises, and which he has always, therefore, underestimated - to his cost. I am speaking, of course, of the fact that your mother died to save you. She gave you a lingering protection he never expected, a protection that flows in your veins to this day. I put my trust, therefore, in your mother's blood. I delivered you to his sister, her only remaining relative.'

'Excuse me, Professor Flitwick, could I borrow Wood for a moment?'

Wood? thought Harry, bewildered; was Wood a cane she was going to use on him?
But Wood turned out to be a person...& a handsome one at that 😃 😆
🤣 LOL! I love Jo's sense of humor.😆

'I feel I owe you another explanation, Harry,' said Dumbledore hesitantly. 'You may, perhaps, have wondered why I never chose you as a prefect? I must confess ... that I rather thought ... you had enough responsibility to be going on with.'

Harry looked up at him and saw a tear trickling down Dumbledore's face into his long silver beard.

Lols Labib, that quote always cracks me up, def one of HP's best!😆

Which one does? Surely not any of those from "The Lod prophecy" chapter? Because "crack[s] me up" would be the last thing I'd describe them as. 😕

'Judging by your look of stunned disbelief, Harry did not warn you that I was coming,' said Dumbledore pleasantly. 'However, let us assume that you have invited me warmly into your house. It is unwise to linger overlong on doorsteps in these troubled times.'

---

'I don't mean to be rude '' he began, in a tone that threatened rudeness in every syllable.

"--yet, sadly, accidental rudeness occurs alarmingly often'"

---

'You did not do as I asked. You have never treated Harry as a son. He has known nothing but neglect and often cruelty at your hands. The best that can be said is that he has at least escaped the appalling damage you have inflicted upon the unfortunate boy sitting between you.'

[HBP, Will and Won't]

😆 Gotta love this man.

This is one of my favorites, but it's kinda sad at the same time that Dudley is puzzled by what he said lol.
