"Urvashi" is one of those songs that are meant to act like a stimulant
and generally have a short-lived appeal. Though for a short period of
time, it caught my interest too when it came out. Various sound effects
and other supplements are as important, if not more important, for this
song as its singing aspects. Moreover, the singing part is
predominantly Rahman's. Shankar had only a couple of three-line passages
and they were same in tune and quite plain too.
It's a shame. But I'm helpless!
