9th July writen update: Pranay discovers the TRUTH

Since prison guard Dazzlingangsta has been under lot of work, I'll do the torturing for today. This may be my last torture of you, dear readers, unless something comes up this coming week to make me do it. So enjoy, and all together now, Devi Maiya ki JAI!!!!!


Yesterday, the scene ended w/ Lakshmi telling Raja Beardo that she can't sign the document. The Raja tells her that since her hand his injured, she can be helped, but she tells him embarrasedly that she can't either read nor write 😭 (I so loathe ghatiya Ghasita for doing this to her, despite her mom's and that teacher's efforts - had she known, would she have become an athiest, and less of a Devi? 😡) Raja tells her not to worry, but simply leave her thumb prints in the places for the respective signatures. Thus, Lakshmi becomes a co-owner of the Raja's fortunes. Devi Maiya ki... JAI!!! (I felt like shouting it so many times today - read on, and you'll see why!!!)

Next, in Tai-ji's room, her behooda son pulls out a revolver (is this a real gun, or a piece of jewelry - looking @ it, it looks more like the latter) and says that he'll empty it on Raja Beardo. Tai-ji sarcastically tells him to go ahead 😆 and he hesitates. Tai-ji tells him that he's the first fetus who never kicked her from inside, and so she knew that she was giving birth to a mouse 🤣 She tells him to keep his bravado to himself, if killing the Raja would have solved things, she has an arsenal of weapons in her wardrobe. She says that the Raja has to be beaten by strategy, which is beyond him, and therefore has to be done by her and Urvashi. Urvashi starts bragging about her cunning, and Tai-ji tells her to zip it 😆🤣 Tai-ji says that Raja has put Devi on a pedestal, and they need to plot a series of moves that will bring her down. 🤢 If she is disgraced, it would be that much easier to expel her.

In Tania's room, she is mad @ Pranay, and refuses to let him pretend to get close to Lakshmi. Pranay has similar ideas to Tai-ji, and tells Tania that in the eyes of his father, Lakshmi is Devi. If she is not exposed b4 him, they'll lose everything they have together. He tells Tania that he has to put on an act of getting close to Lakshmi 😡 so that he can expose her true nature to his father. Tania is still unconvinced, but Pranay asks her whether she has such little faith in his love? He tells her that now, it's not a question of just them but the entire family as well, so he has to do this as a duty to his family. He then takes her leave, and Tania is totally tense about the whole thing 😭

In Pranay's room, the human devi is talking to the real Devi, and telling her that she has to resolve the prince's worries. She tells her that if she is going to give grief to others, then Lakshmi herself will be angry w/ the Devi (the real one, not herself 😆) Just then, Pranay walks into the room, while Lakshmi continues that the devi has to impress on her father Raja Beardo that he's making a mistake. Lakshmi says that as the bahu of the house, having the love and blessings of everybody is adequate , so why is he giving her all that? Pranay is surprised to hear all this. Lakshmi also asks the devi to make everybody @ home very happy. (Such a sweetheart! Raja Beardo should fall @ her feet. Oops, I forget - he already has 😆 Okay, maybe Pranay, Ma (since Lakshmi won't call her Rani-Ma anymore ❤️) and others should also do puja to her daily? 😆 Okay, okay, I'm hoping for too much - we all know this ain't going to happen, unless Raja Beardo forces them)

Lakshmi turns around and sees Pranay. She asks him how is she here @ this time, since Ma-ji told her that... and Pranay completes the sentence for her, asking that they can't remain hubby & wife, right? Pranay tells her that they can be friends and get to know each other, and this is needed as well, right? He offers her a seat 😊 and Lakshmi agrees w/ him completely, telling him that it's a great idea for the 2 of them to become friends and get to know each other. And then after that... (here comes the bombshells 😲😆)

Pranay now perks up and asks her what she will do after 3 months? Lakshmi asks him why is he raising the 3 month question again, and says that let alone 3 months, after 3 years or even 3 lifetimes, she'll continue to do what she's now doing. Pranay is shocked to hear this, as Lakshmi tells him that in 3 months, nothing will change in their relationship 😲 Lakshmi tells him that her mom said that a hubby-wife relationship lasts 7 lifetimes, but everybody here is so nice to her that she wants her relationship to last beyond even that She wants that whenever god makes her a human being, he makes her Pranay's wife - both in this life, and every one beyond that. Pranay is stunned, as Lakshmi continues that she wants her prince on a white horse to always be hers. Pranay gets up, while Lakshmi tells him that she needs to fill up the diyas w/ ghee. While she is @ it, he leaves the room, noting to himself that Lakshmi does not seem like she was in this for a business deal, and everything he thought about what she knew seems to be a lie. He decides to confront his father on this.

Raja Beardo is being bathed by his attendants (really, even his bath he has to do in a yogic posture? Doesn't he have showers in his haveli?) After he's done, he goes into his room, and is confronted by Pranay. He is surprised to see Pranay up this early, and Pranay tells him that he knows that his father is not going to lie @ this time after completing these rituals. Pranay tells him that according to Raja Beardo, Lakshmi was marrying for money, and tells him that if that's the case, why is he putting his home, his business in her name? If she's going to be only here for 3 months, why is he naming her in his inheritance? Raja tries to be defiant and tells him that he won't discuss this, but Pranay refuses, telling him that he'll have to both hear, as well as tell, the truth. He tells his father that by talking to her, it seems that she's not remotely interested in wealth, but that it's her relationships that matter most to her. 👏 Raja Beardo looks shocked, while Pranay tells him that such a girl could never agree to such a marriage of convenience. He demands the truth - what has his father been hiding????!!!

Raja Beardo, after hesitating, confirms what Pranay thought - that neither is Lakshmi aware of the 3 months condition, nor did she marry for money (Raja, you could have told her that her father took 50 lakhs from you in return for agreeing to give up his golden goose Devi - wouldn't that have counted❓) Pranay asks him why he cheated him, and hid such a detail from him? Raja Beardo's response was brazen - he asked him that if he had told him the truth, would Pranay have agreed to marry Lakshmi (If I were in Raja Beardo's position, I'd be shit scared, but Raja Beardo so brazenly answered Pranay's question, it was priceless!!! 😲🤣🤣) Raja Beardo tells him that at that time, the most important thing for him was his family, his honor, his prestige, his business. Pranay asks him that in addition to his own life, Raja Beardo played w/ the lives of 2 more innocent human beings? (Exactly right 👏 - although I know that Dazzlingangsta & Imagine-Addict won't agree 😆) Despite knowing that this was being unjust to Lakshmi, Raja Beardo let this marriage happen (not let, Pranay, forced, as you know only too well). Even w/ knowing that by taking the support of lies and robbing his son of his love, he still let this marriage happen? Raja's answer again is as brazen - yes, and on this, he has no regrets 😲🤣 This has changed their family fortunes, and that he had taken an oath to make Lakshmi a part of a royal family. He also tells her that regarding Tania, if he has money, he'll get thousands of girls like Tania. (That's no evidence that Tania is like that, even if she may not be a Devi like Lakshmi) Pranay tells him that a person who for his selfish needs is willing to betray the trust of his son, how can one expect that he'll understand the trust that exists in one's love? (Dear Pranay, I agree w/ you, but do hope that Tania is indeed worthy of your trust, despite the fact that she can no longer be yours.) Disgusted, Pranay leaves.

He then goes to his mom's room, and wakes her up. She sees him crying, and asks him what's it about? Pranay tells her that he's ashamed that he was so harsh to Lakshmi, who was completely innocent. He hurt her, when she was not at all at fault (dear Pranay, you know what your pyaare patni-DEVI says about this - man ki ichcha ho, to achcha....) He tells her that his father just told him that she knows nothing about this 3 month business. Rani-ma is shocked. She has come here w/ dreams of spending a lifetime - she has no clue that this home, this relationship, this dream, is all smoke. All that is unknown to her - that this is only for 3 months. He asks how his father can do all that (hey, he just told you!!!)

Rani tells him that what she was afraid of, has happened. She is shocked that the Raja has cheated the girl who he worshipped as a Devi (actually no, he's just cheated Pranay & Tania - he's already planned not to let anything untoward happen to Devi) She asks Pranay not to blame himself, since he did everything he did unknowingly. She however tells him that if he genuinely thinks that he's @ fault, then to make amends w/ true intentions, and whatever pain he gave Lakshmi, give her double the happiness. She tells Pranay to help Lakshmi's dream come true. 👏 He needs to do all the rituals w/ her that are expected of a couple, but b4 that, go to the family godess temple w/ her. Pranay agrees 👏

Pranay goes to his room, where Lakshmi is sleeping, and sits down beside her, and smiles @ her. (Looks like finally he loves her) He starts getting flashbacks of their rendezvous in the forest, and finally, she wakes up, sees him, gets up and bumps her head into his 😆. She apologizes to him and gets down from bed, and they have an eyelock ❤️ (Gangsta, looks like I got to cover this 😛😆 But you'll find that it makes a good video avatar. Take it, I got mine)

Pranay tells Tai-ji that he's wronged Lakshmi, and to atone for this, he's going to do all the rituals w/ Lakshmi, and take her to the kul-devi. Tai-ji looks pissed 🤢😆


This was one of the best Devi episodes. Tai-ji was kept to a minimum, but more importantly, Pranay got to know the truth about what Lakshmi knew, and an opportunity to set things right. While it was good that Lakshmi had the support of Raja Beardo and had won over the love of her new Ma, it was an important watershed that she won over Pranay as well.

Raja Beardo was hilarious - it's tough to be so brazen when you're caught in a lie, but he did this so fluently! 😆 But I liked Pranay's confrontation w/ him, and Rani's advise to him - to fulfill Lakshmi's dream - I'm glad Rani is being a real mother for Lakshmi. That's the least she deserves, given all the good fortune she's been bringing her new parivar.

All in all, today's episode was just the one that would make one go 'Devi Maiya ki JAI!!!!!'

Not Tania's! She herself walked in....

But she was his girlfriend b4 that - doesn't she have the right to visit her bf's place, particularly when she knows that his parents are probably looking for a bride for him? Not her fault that Raja Beardo discovered Devi Maiya and decided to make her his bahu.

She obviously wanted to marry Pranay, not b'cos of his riches, but b'cos she was his gf in the US.

But it was Taiyy-ji who got Tania for Pranay.🤔

No, Tania came on her own, as far as I remember, Tai-ji knew nothing about her. Except Rani-ma, nobody knew. Since Pranay had been unable to contact her, and was trying to resolve his engagement mess, he couldn't contact her, and Tania, not getting his calls, visited him to see what was wrong, and surfaced the day he was going through the private rituals of getting readied for marriage.

Tai-ji did know everything about her.

It was shown that because Taiyy-ji had appointed her a gf so that the property would go on Taiyy-ji's name. Tania even revealed that...
