PART 3


Finally the big dy arrives. sajan are getting married. the girls are looking so beautiful that no words can describe them. even the boys were no less than rajwada princes.
the marriage rasams finish and things start going back to normal.



nupur realises that her parents are thinking about gettting her married and she gets tensed

N: RV tumhe ghar aakar mom dad se baat karni hogi
RV: kis baare main nupur?
N: hamare baare main. we have to tell them bout our relationship
RV: lekin itni jaldi kya hain nupur? i mean abhi toh mauj masti ke din hain. itni sari responsibilties ki hume koi jaldi nahi hain
N: nahi RV. mom dad meri shaadi ka soch rahe hain. tumhe unse baat karni hi hogi
RV: ok. dont worry darling. hum aaj hi uncle se hamari shaadi ki baat kar lenge.



at nupurs place
RV: uncle aunty main nupur se pyaar karta huhn aur usse shaadi karna chahta hun. please give us your blessings
ND(nupurs dad): is this true nupur?
N:..........................(silent)
ND(shouts): i am asking you something and i expect an answer...
N: yes dad i want to marry RV.

(note how nupur still does noy say that she loves RV. shayad bhagwan ko bhi kuch aur manzur tha 😆 )

ND(roars): NO. do you get it. i have fixed your marriage. you will get married to the guy of my choice. (there is no appaarent reason for nupurs dad getting so mad)
N: but dad...i want to marry
ND(cuts nupur): no buts. kal tujhe ladke wale dekhne aa rahe hain. o want no arguments or discussions on this topic. RV you can now get out of ny house.
RV: but i really want to marry nu...
ND(again cuts RV): dont you dare utter my daughters name from your mouth. get out
NM(speaking for the first time): please leave RV

RV leaves in anger and nupur also cries herself to sleep



the next day nupur is unaware of her surroundings but still she gets ready and goes downstairs to meet teh boy and is shocked out of her wits on seeing MAYANK-her best friend. she could not understand why mayank was ready to marry her?
since MAYUR know each other very well their parents decide to get them married in a week and the engagement is fixed for two days later.



Mayank has come with SAJAN to buy an engagement ring for nupur
S: mayank kitni derr laga raha hain? 3 ghante ho gaye hain tu ek ring nahi kharid paya?
G: haan deverji. kya kar rahe ho?
M: bhai apne toh bhabhi ke liye ring 5 min mian kharid li thi. meri help karo na
G: kya kaha? samrat tumne meri ring sirf 5 min main pasand karli thi? tumne kaha tha ki pura din laga tha...
Mayank knew that with this sentence his bro will be in trouble. so now he was grinning ear to ear
S: sach kaha tha. maine pure din main sirf woh ring kharidi thi aur kuch nahi. toh laga na pura din.
G: mujhe tumse koi baat nahi karni. main ja rahi hun
M: arre bhabhi meri help karo aur main jhut kah raha tha. ab bas karo and help me. By God
S/G: oooooooooooo. kisi ka rang chad raha hain
M: aisa kuch nahi hain

finally they purchase the ring



ENGAGEMENT DAY

once again there is hustle and bustle in the bhushan household.
Nupur is dressed in a beautiful creamish red saree with very little make up. she is looking like a fairy as she descends.



mayank is wearing a suit: a pink shirt with white pant and coat



MAYANKS POV
as my love descended I felt as if I am the luckiest man on earth. lagta hain ki Khuda ne nupur ko badi fursat se tarasha hain. she is looking so beautiful and graceful. her eyes...wait is that pain of some sort that i can see in her eyes???? why do I feel as if she is going through some inner turmoil. mayank you are thinkung too much. after all she is getting married and will have to leave her parents and her house. obviously she is a bit upset. get a grip on yourself.



NUPURS POV
mayank is looking so nice in this suit. how come i never noticed this before but still i hope RV was here instead of mayank. mayank does not have any idea of my relationship with RV. i have to tell him the truth. I cannot destroy his life. he deserves someone who will love him and give him all the happiness in life.



Nupur reaches the stage and mayank holds her hand
SAJAN: chalo ab rings pehna bhi do. nupur pata hain mayank ne kitne pyaar se tumhare liye yeh ring kharidi hain?
M: bhai chodo na plz. itna tang mat karo

Nupur Mayank exchange the rings.
during dinner
S: mayank nupur ko khana toh khila
G: haan nupur tu bhi mayank ko apne haatho se khila
after everyone forces MAYUR feed each other
soon after everybody leaves for further preparations except gunjan. she stays with nupur till marriage.
due to the various rituals and rasams nupur is unable to talk to mayank and tell him the truth.
