Darshan upset with Antara's sudden wrap-up
Darshan Pandya, better known as Aditya or Abhishek of Aap Ki Antara, is a sad man these days. His first show on television Aap Ki Antara is going off air after February 18. In fact, not just Darshan, a lot of viewers and actors were also surprised at the sudden turn of events for the serial which was so well accepted by everyone.
"I have no clue why this has happened. You will not believe the notice we got. The channel asked us to wrap up the show within 2-3 episodes.
Is this a joke? How can someone do this to such a successful and well received serial?" asks a furious Darshan.
He goes on to add, "As of today we have a bank of scripts for at least 60-70 episodes which will never see the light of day. I would have understood a show going off air if the TRPs were low. But in this case, post-leap the TRPs also went up substantially. I guess this is how television works."
"Now the entire focus will be on Antara and how she has become a singer and has achieved many things in life," informs Darshan. The cast and crew of Aap Ki Antara had a small get together at director Sanjay Surkar's place. "He played a key role in the success of the serial and is a famous Marathi director who won four National Awards. We had a good time there and remembered the nice time we had while making the show," smiles Darshan.
So how have they ended the show? "In such a short notice what else could we show? We have shown that Vidya, with the help of her father, has bought the house and handed it over to Abhishek. This way Abhishek realises his fault," informs the actor who is planning a vacation in Ahmedabad with his family now that the serial has got over.
