don't know the meaning of tahir-e-lahooti, but it's a part of allama iqbal's sher (sorry i might not remember it word by word but that's how it goes) maybe thi sline helps u wid the meaning of the word
ay tahir-e-lahoti, is rizq say mout hi achi jiss say aati ho parwaaz mai kohtahi.
the moral of the story was that some people always have an inferiority complex that others are better than them, but they don't know what others are going through either. mahnoor always complained (not out loud but in her mind) that why they are poor adn their cousins are rich but when she end up with rich pasha she realized her life was so much better at her own home.
actually this story contain a lot of messages, like pardah, if mahnoor had done pardah pasha wouldn't have been attracted toward her etc
