Misplaced love
Alright, Dr Simran of Astitva ... Ek Prem Kahani is an upright, sincere, honest and straight woman with a heart. Everyone from her father Saurabh, friend Manas, ex-husband Abhi and her current beau Manu love her and anything that upsets her, affects all the characters of the soap. What we take objection to is the complete indifference shown to the new character Nagma who has entered the soap as Manu's wife. Her arrival has triggered an upheaval in Manu's life and caused Simran's accident. Manu is completely guilt-ridden and blames himself for Simran's pathetic state. But how come he has forgotten Nagma's sacrifice and love because of whom he is alive? Even his sister Gauri feels that Nagma is an intrusion. If it wasn't for Nagma, Gauri or Simran wouldn't have ever seen Manu. Hope we find some compassion and gratitude towards Nagma in the forthcoming episodes? Manu, are you listening?
