At home with Amit Jain
We caught up with Amit Jain, who plays the son of the Shah on 'Thodi Khushi Thode Gham' at his apartment in Andheri where he tells us all about his home.
Amit loves colours and tries to make his life as vibrant as possible. He says, "My home must be colourful. It is done up in a combination of red, black and white and has been decorated by my friends Shama Sikand and Rajeev."
The designing of Amit's house has been left entirely up to his friends as he was busy shooting television shows at the time. He says, "Since I was busy then I told Shama (Sikand) and my other friend Rajeev that I needed my house decorated. They were so excited to do it that they told me that I should concentrate on my acting and they will take care of everything in the house."
The whole house has been designed by Shama and Rajeev who "used to fight when the work was going on because they had different opinions. They were so bad that one of the interior designers left work!" he recalls.

Amit's entrance leads to his hall which has two nice sofas. The walls of Amit's hall have a rough finish to them. He says, "The wall behind my sofa was first kept plain but Shama didn't like it so we did patch work on it. We put red on the white wall."
His favourite part of the house is his bedroom because "this is my recreational room. I have a huge mirror on one wall and my bed is on the other side. I keep it simple and classic and that is why my bed consists of gaddas on the floor." The room is totally coordinated with matching curtains, bed sheets and pillow cases; all done by Shama.
Amit also enjoys spending time at his window where he sits and does some reading.
He likes teddy bears and surprisingly has a collection of over 15. He plans on arranging them on the wall on the top of his bed.
Amit has designed his kitchen to suit his cook's needs. It is a modular styled kitchen as per the choice of his cook
Amit has appeared in the serial 'Yeh Meri Life Hai' where he became good friends with Shama Sikand who designed his house.
