As Sahiba's wedding approached, she began spending more time with Angad’s family. Manveer embraced Sahiba warmly, overjoyed to welcome her as a daughter into their home. For her, Sahiba represented the daughter she had never had, and she eagerly prepared for the upcoming festivities. Meanwhile, Gurleen, Jasleen, and Pravjot enthusiastically embarked on extensive shopping trips, ensuring every detail for the wedding was perfect. Their excitement was infectious, infusing the preparations with a palpable sense of anticipation and joy.
In the midst of this, Kiara, Ekam, and Prince, Angad’s siblings, dedicated themselves to perfecting their dance routines for the upcoming celebrations. Their energy and enthusiasm added to the vibrant atmosphere, ensuring the Sangeet night would be a memorable affair.
Garry and Veer, Angad's playful brothers, took every opportunity to tease Angad about his impending marriage, their good-natured banter a constant source of amusement for the family.
Across the aisle, Bebe and Daar Ji eagerly anticipated witnessing their first grandchild's wedding, their hearts swelling with pride and joy at the auspicious occasion.
On Sahiba's side, Ajit, her father, beamed with pride and contentment, relishing the thought of his beloved daughter's union. Santosh, Sahiba's mother, recognized the prosperity and happiness that awaited Sahiba in her new family, filling her with a deep sense of pride.
However, not all was without a tinge of melancholy. Keerat, Sahiba's younger sister, though happy for Sahiba, couldn't help but feel a twinge of loneliness, realizing that soon both her sisters would be married. Seerat, the eldest sister, while genuinely happy for Sahiba, couldn't shake a hint of envy, her own modest marriage contrasting with Sahiba's upcoming union into affluence.
At the office, Sahiba gathered her colleagues—Ruhi, Piya, and Emily—to share some important news. "I wanted to let you all know that I won't be physically present in the office for the next couple of months," she began, her tone earnest yet evasive.
Ruhi furrowed her brows with concern, Piya leaned in attentively, and Emily's eyes sparkled with curiosity. "Are you leaving us?" Piya asked half-jokingly.
Sahiba chuckled softly, shaking her head. "No, not exactly. I'll still be working, just more remotely," she explained carefully, choosing her words to maintain the privacy around her impending marriage to Angad.
Emily, sensing there was more to the story, prodded further. "So, what's the plan then?"
Sahiba hesitated momentarily before responding with a practiced smile. "Angad wants me to work closely with the Delhi office," she replied, masking her discomfort about revealing her marriage plans.
Her explanation seemed to satisfy her colleagues, who nodded understandingly. As they continued to chat, Sahiba felt a pang of guilt for not disclosing the full truth, but she knew it was necessary to protect her privacy until the right time.
Emily, always the playful one, injected a teasing note into the conversation. "So, Sahiba, when you come back, Angad will be married, right? You'll finally get to meet his wife!" she remarked mischievously, her words laced with amusement.
Sahiba's smile faltered briefly, emotions swirling within her at the reminder of Angad's imminent marriage. Before she could respond, Ruhi interjected thoughtfully. "Who knows if we'll even get to meet his wife. Angad keeps his personal life pretty private," she mused, her tone contemplative.
Unfazed by the topic shift, Emily continued her playful teasing, causing Sahiba to squirm with discomfort. "And what about Arjun? I heard he has a bit of a crush on you. Maybe you'll have some competition when you're back," she added mischievously, her grin widening.
Feeling the need to steer the conversation away, Sahiba took a deep breath and made a heartfelt revelation. "Actually, I'm engaged," she announced, her voice tinged with excitement and nervousness.
Piya's eyes widened in surprise. "Really? Congratulations, Sahiba! Who's the lucky guy?" she asked eagerly.
Sahiba paused for a moment before responding with a smile, "He's a Sardar."
At that moment, Garry and Veer, who had been eavesdropping, exchanged knowing smiles, aware that Sahiba's heart belonged to Angad.
This marked a significant chapter in Sahiba's life, where her personal happiness intertwined with professional commitments, as she navigated the delicate balance between secrecy and anticipation for her impending wedding.
The days leading up to Sahiba and Angad's wedding were a whirlwind of traditional Sikh ceremonies, each imbued with joy, love, and timeless customs.
Before the festivities commenced, Sahiba and Angad's families gathered for a solemn Paath ceremony. The air resonated with the melodic recitation of hymns from the Guru Granth Sahib, invoking blessings for the couple's union and a prosperous future.
The Sangeet night followed, a vibrant celebration where family and friends came together for music, dance, and jubilation. Sahiba shimmered in a stunning pink and gold lehenga choli, her graceful movements reflecting her joy as she danced alongside Angad. The atmosphere reverberated with the beat of dhol and resonant Punjabi folk songs, filling everyone's hearts with boundless happiness and anticipation.
Next came the Haldi ceremony, steeped in tradition as turmeric paste was applied to Sahiba and Angad to bless them with auspiciousness and ward off evil. Surrounded by loved ones, they sat together, beaming with smiles as bright as the sun.
The Mehendi ceremony ushered in festivities with vibrant henna designs adorning Sahiba's hands and feet. Dressed in a resplendent green saree, she exuded beauty and joy, while Angad, in traditional kurta pajama, admired her radiant smile amidst the lively music and laughter.
Finally, the much-awaited day arrived—the day when Sahiba and Angad would unite in the sacred bond of marriage. Bathed in the morning sun's golden glow, Sahiba's family lovingly adorned her with ivory chooda and golden kaleeriens, traditional symbols of a Punjabi bride. Her sisters, Seerat and Keerat, helped her prepare for the monumental occasion, their hearts brimming with emotion.
As Sahiba stood before the mirror, reflecting on her transformation, Keerat couldn't help but shed a tear. "You look breathtaking, Sahiba Di," she whispered, her voice filled with emotion. "I can't believe you're getting married today."
Seerat, wiping away her own tears, echoed Keerat's sentiment. "Yes, you look absolutely stunning. Angad is truly fortunate to have you as his bride," she added, her voice tinged with pride and love.
Grateful for her sisters' unwavering support, Sahiba softly thanked them, her voice trembling with emotion. "Thank you, both of you. Having you here means everything to me today."
With heartfelt embraces, the sisters shared a moment of laughter and tears, a testament to their unbreakable bond. Amidst the joy and anticipation, Sahiba felt ready to embark on this journey of love and companionship with Angad by her side.
Angad's family eagerly awaited Sahiba's arrival into their lives, thrilled to celebrate their first grandchild's wedding. Daar Ji and Bebe beamed with excitement, overwhelmed by the occasion's significance.
Daar Ji affectionately clasped Angad's shoulder, his voice tinged with emotion. "Today marks a special day, my boy," he said proudly. "You're about to begin a new chapter, and we couldn't be happier for you."
Bebe, her face radiant with joy, enveloped Angad in a warm embrace. "Our first grandson is getting married," she exclaimed with disbelief and elation. "I can't wait to welcome Sahiba into our family with open arms."
Meanwhile, Angad, resplendent in his gold and cream sherwani, prepared with his siblings for the rituals ahead. Ekam, Kiara, and Prince teased him about his upcoming responsibilities, while Garry and Veer couldn't resist teasing him about his impending bride.
As the festivities continued, Angad's aunts, Jasleen and Pravjot, offered him sweets before the baraat departed, fostering an atmosphere of laughter and camaraderie.
Jasleen, her eyes twinkling with affection, fed Angad a sweet. "May your life be as sweet as this mithai, puttar," she said warmly, her words carrying blessings.
Pravjot echoed her sentiments, her smile genuine and heartfelt. "We're so proud of you, Angad. Today marks the beginning of a beautiful journey," she added, her voice filled with love and pride.
Brimming with the elders' blessings and their siblings' excitement, Angad and his family embarked on the baraat procession, the lively music of dhols echoing as they set off to welcome Sahiba into their lives.
Upon the baraat's arrival, Sahiba's family warmly greeted them, their faces lit up with smiles and anticipation. Ajit and Inder, standing together, exchanged heartfelt glances, filled with happiness at their children's union.
Ajit, his eyes misty with emotion, grasped Inder's hand warmly. "Who would have thought our children would marry each other?" he marveled, his voice reflecting wonder and gratitude.
Inder, his face glowing with joy, nodded in agreement. "It's a beautiful twist of fate," he replied proudly. "I couldn't be happier for them."
Meanwhile, Angad, dressed in resplendent attire, awaited Sahiba's arrival in the gurdwara. As the path was recited, his heart raced with anticipation. His gaze swept the serene surroundings, lingering on the space beside him where Sahiba would soon be seated.
As Sahiba entered the gurdwara accompanied by her sisters, Seerat and Keerat, a sense of serenity seemed to fill the sacred space. Their quiet presence brought an aura of joy and calmness, supporting Sahiba as she prepared to embark on this sacred journey.
Seated beside Angad, Sahiba met his gaze, their eyes speaking volumes of their love and anticipation. All uncertainties faded away in that moment, leaving only the certainty of their deep and enduring connection.
Angad's face lit up with joy upon seeing Sahiba, her beauty radiant in her pink and gold lehenga. Surrounded by the smiles of their loved ones, they stood together, enveloped in warmth and happiness.
With the blessings of their families and the divine presence of Waheguru, the Anand Karaj ceremony commenced, marking Angad and Sahiba's union in holy matrimony. Encircling the Guru Granth Sahib, their souls intertwined in a bond of eternal love, their hearts overflowing with joy and gratitude for the precious gift of each other.
After exchanging sacred vows and receiving heartfelt blessings, Angad proudly held Sahiba's hand. They respectfully sought the elders' blessings, bowing before each one, receiving warm wishes for a blissful married life.
As the celebration continued joyously, everyone gathered for langar, symbolizing unity and togetherness. Laughter and conversations filled the air, strengthening familial bonds.
However, amidst the festivities, the time for Sahiba's Bidaai arrived, casting a bittersweet shadow. As she bid farewell to her childhood home, emotions ran high—sadness at parting from loved ones mingled with excitement for the future ahead.
At Brar Mansion, Sahiba was welcomed with open arms. Manveer, her mother-in-law, performed traditional rituals, symbolizing the auspiciousness of their union and blessing them with prosperity and happiness.
Gurleen Chachi, her eyes brimming with affection, embraced Sahiba warmly. "Welcome home, puttar," she whispered lovingly. "You are now a part of our family, and we couldn't be happier to have you."
Hansraj Pupar, Angad's grandfather, placed a comforting hand on Angad's shoulder. "You've found yourself a gem, Angad," he remarked proudly. "Take care of her, son. She's precious."
Jaspal Chachu, his face radiant with joy, stepped forward to greet the newlyweds. "Congratulations, beta," he said warmly. "May your life together be filled with love, laughter, and countless blessings."
Pravjot Bua, her eyes shimmering with tears of happiness, tenderly embraced Sahiba. "May your marriage be as radiant and enduring as your smile," she wished sincerely.
As Sahiba and Angad settled into their new life together, surrounded by loved ones, a sense of peace washed over them. After spending cherished moments with family, they retreated to their room, where delicate flowers and soft candlelight awaited them, casting a warm glow.
Accompanied by Kiara, Ekam, and Pravjot Bua, Sahiba embraced her new role as Angad's wife. In the intimate setting, their affectionate smiles reassured her.
Pravjot Bua winked playfully at Sahiba. "Enjoy your first night as Mrs. Angad Singh Brar," she teased mischievously, laughter filling the room.
Meanwhile, Garry and Veer teased Angad about the night ahead, their playful banter lightening the mood.
Angad chuckled at his brothers' antics, their camaraderie adding to the joyous atmosphere. "Come on, guys, give it a rest," he replied good-naturedly, his excitement palpable.
Stepping into the room where Sahiba awaited him, Angad's heart raced with anticipation. Their eyes met, and time seemed to stand still as candlelight danced around them.
Without a word, Angad drew Sahiba close, their hands entwined, hearts full of love and longing.
Angad: "Sahiba, you look absolutely stunning."
Sahiba's smile mirrored his love and adoration. "And you, Angad, are the most handsome."
In the quiet intimacy of their room, surrounded by flickering candles and the sweet fragrance of flowers, Angad and Sahiba shared a moment of profound connection.
Angad: "I've been waiting for this moment all day, Sahiba. To
finally be alone with you, to hold you in my arms."
Sahiba leaned into him, overflowing with love. "I've been waiting too, Angad. Just to be here with you, to begin our life together."
As they embraced, the world outside faded away, leaving only the two of them cocooned in love and devotion.
Angad: "I love you, Sahiba. More than anything in this world."
Sahiba's heart swelled with emotion, her voice a soft whisper. "And I love you, Angad. Always and forever."
Lost in each other's arms, they knew this moment was just the beginning of a lifetime together, filled with happiness and love.
