Jab Pyaar Kiya Toh Darna Kya...
"Taani?" Onu lowered his voice so that nobody could hear him. The room was filled with laughter and people going about their own conversations yet Onu knew to keep his voice down incase his father heard him.
"Haan?" she turned to see her husband avoiding eye contact. She raised her eye-brow at him. What was he upto?
"Chal" he told her, waving at a business associate accross the room.
"Kahaan?" she asked him, confused
"Ghar" he told her simply. She turned away from him, letting him know what she thought of his idea.
"Onu" she began in that usual firm voice of hers "Chup chaap yahaan karre reh... Varna"
"Varna kya?" he challenged her. He wasn't in the mood to hear her excuses. "Tune hi toh mujhe pasaadiya"
"Paasaadiya, matlab?"
"Aur nahin toh kya?" he shrugged "tu jaanti hai ke main yeh business parties aur sab se kitna tang aagaya hoon. Par nahin.." his sarcasm kicked in "tune baba se kehdiya: haan baba, main aur Onu zaroor jaayenge" he mocked
"Onu..." she saw he was in need of some comfort but he interrupted her
"Taani" he warned "shuru mat karna" he was not in the mood to hear her lectures about their responsibilities and so on.
"Par..."
"Anurag?" Shekhar called
"Jee baba?" he replied
"Zara yahaan aana"
"Haan baba, abhi aaya" he nodded "dus minute main tiyaar rehna: hum nikalenge" he told Taani
"Lekin Onu..."
"Dus minute" he repeated before walking off without giving Taani a chance to refuse. Taani sighed. There was something up with Onu's mood. Ever since he got home from the office his mood was off. And now he wanted to go home.
"Taani?" Neelu snapped Taani out of her thoughts. She looked up to see Neelu smiling at her. "kya hua?"
"Kuch nahin" she smiled back
A few minutes later, Taani went to fetch Neelu a drink. Onu excused himself from Shekhar and his friend before joining Taani. "chal" he said casually
"Kahaan?"
"Ghar"
"Onu, tu hosh main hai kya?" she turned to walk off
"Tu chalegi ya main akele chalajaoon?" he asked and he sighed
"Ruk" he stopped her and stopped a waiter and gave him instructions to give the drink to Neelu. The last thing Onu wanted was for Taani to waste more time, using the drink as an excuse.
"Ab chale?" Onu asked her and she nodded
"Chal"
"Jaldi chal" he replied and she followed him out casually, being careful that nobody spotted them.
Something was definitely up. But how was she going to find out without getting into an argument with Onu?
