Hey Tlainzz!

This is another shock! After pooems and OS this is finally an FF! so here is de character sketch! Do lyke nd cument nd tell me howzz it? Nd plss suggest a title..cnt think of any now! Nd tell me if I shud change anu s name cause anu isn't a muslim name.. if u want I cn change it but if u pl r comfortable with anu its fine!

Character sketch!

Anurag Ganguly: a muslim boy. Age: 21. A very shy boy. Stays away from girls. Hasn't fought in his entire life i.e. he is a non violent guy. His family is really strict and are against hindu's and hate them. They want him to marry a muslim girl who can becum a slave of them once they are married. But Anurag believes no difference between hindu's and muslims and want them to be together.

( imagine him with a white topi..)

Taani Banerjee: a Hindu girl . has no restriction..she does anything she wants.. she is a cute girl..beautiful. everyone loves her. But the threat is muslims. Her family hates muslim people. And because of her family even she doesn't like muslims. She has a couple of girlfriends.. but is really out of fashion and shopping. The simplest girl.

Nelanjana Ganguly: anurag's mother. She is a strict woman with a hatred towards Hindus. Kept anu on a safe side and out of non violence.

Laboni Banerjee : Taani's mom. A very gullible woman. Has no problems or hatred against Muslims. Wants her child to be happy.

Both the dad's are against de others religion and keep their children away from de other religion people.

Concept:-

This is a story of two people with opposite religion and the way they cum together' their friendship which deepens into love and the various circumstances and differences they'll hve to suffer which both of them might have never imagined!

The concept sounds good Anie...but as you suspected Anurag Ganguly sounds very Hindu and so does Nilu's name. Why not use Chowdhury? That works as a Muslim name too. I don't know if Anurag would be adopted typically by Muslims either...Anas for example means love or affection, just as Anurag does. Neelu could become Nikhat or Nishaath too. I guess you can keep Onu's name and build a story around how he got it, though considering his mother's hatred for Hindus I'm not sure she'd want such a Sanskritized name.

Lemme see what I can come up with for names:

Beyond Blood.

Mandir Se Masjid Tak.

Taaweez...(I think both Hindus and Muslims believe in the power of the taaweez, so that Taaweez here can represent their love and you can use it in the story too!)

Edited to Add: Diya's Taqdeer also sounds good!

Also...I'm not sure about the concept of the Muslim wife being a slave to the family. That sounds a bit harsh, maybe you'll need to modify that a bit. Yes there are Muslim families where the wives are treated very badly, but those aren't the majority. Esp if you see Neelu's character as someone who is non-violent despite her hatred I think it would be unlikely they'll want their only son's wife to be a slave per se. Since he's the only boy (is he?) they'd be treating the girl (esp being from the same religion) like the daughter they never had.
