CHAPTER 2

Anu was staring at Taani. He loved the way she stared back. She tried to move but he blocked her way.
Anu: Hi, I'm Anurag.... Anurag Ganguly

He forwarded his hand for a hand shake but she didn't give her hand

Taani; Namaste. I'm Taani
Anu: Haa Namaste.... Aap ne bohat acha gaaya.
Taani: Thanks

She was about to leave. Anu stopped her
Anu: Suno..

She turned back..

Anu: Aap kya karthi hai?
Taani: Main yahan ek music school mein temporary teacher hoon.
Anu: Aap chahte hai to main aap ko singing mein ek chance de saktha hoon.
Taani: Lekin mujhe to...
Anu; Aap aaj ayiye.. 5.00 baje.. baaki sab vahan decide karenge.
Taani: Dekhhiye... mujhe to...

He gave her address and left smiling to where Mouli was waiting for him.

Taani: Arey suniye naa....
But she got no reply.

mouli: Kahan they?

Anu: Kuch kaam tha. Chaliye...
They reached home and saw Taposh waiting for them.
Taposh: Arey, bhabhi aur devar kahan they?
Mouli: Hum mandir gaye they.
She gave him prasad.

Taposh; Arey, mera ladla bhai mandir kaise jaayenge? Aur voh bhi ithni subah??
Mouli: Credit to meri hai doctor saab...


Evening 4.00pm
Venue: Hostel

Taani entered her room. She saw Naina working on laptop.

Taani: Hi Naina.
naina: Hi.
taani: Kya kar rahe ho?
Naina: Tumhe bataane ka zarooath nahi hai.

Taani: Acha dekho, mujhe ek contract mili hai, one Mr. Anurag Ganguly ne diya. un ki Music troop mein female singer.. Concert agle hafte hai. yeh to ek bohat acha opportunity hai naa???

Naina: Anurag? tumhe bulaya? "5 Star Music" mein?
Taani: Haan. tumhe kaise pata?
Naina: Main achi tarah se jaanthi hoon... Yeh Anurag ko bhi...
Taani: To phir main jaa rahi hoon. 5.00 baje pahunchna hai.

Naina: Jao.. Pehle yeh suno.... yeh concerts safe nahi hai.... late night shows.... and so on...especially for girls... Aur yeh Anurag ke baare mein maine jo suna, vo acha nahi hai... Arey, main yeh sab kyun keh rahi hai? Tum jao.... Rehearsal chal raha hai naa? Jao..

In the rehearsal place

Anu had reached the rehearsal place and had already told everyone about the sweet bhajan. And everyone was waiting for her to arrive. It was past 7.00 but she didn't come.

Prithvi: Lagtha hai vo nahi aayenge...
Anu: Arey, vo aayega...

They waited till 9.00pm.. But she did not come...

Anu was very disappointed. Prithvi went near him.

Prithvi: Koi baath nahi hai Anu.... Tum jao..

Anu left the place so sad...

In the Hostel. Deepa and taani... in the mess hall...

Deepa; Pagal hogay hai kya? ithna bada opportunity kyun reject kiya?

Taani was like confused....

Deepa; dekho, main tumhe achi tarah se jaanthi hoon.. Tumhari problems ko bhi... Yeh ek bohat acha opportunity hai...
Taani; par vo naina ne kaha tha ki....

Deepa: Yeh naina kaun hai? Teri maa hai kya?? Uske baathon par ithna viswas karte ho? Main yeh "5 Star music" ko jaanthi hoon... Aur yeh Anurag ko bhi... Vo to is saal ka best business man award winner hai... GeeGee Enterprises ka managing partner...

Taani: To Tumhe kya lagtha hai? Main jaaun?
Deepa: Haan... Maine kaha tha naa, mere fionce ke baare mein.. Dhruv.. Vo ek gutarist hai aur Anurag uska dost hai.....
Taani; Aaj itni raath hogay... Kal jaungi...

Next morning, she waited for him in the mandir but he didn't come... in the evening, she reached the rehearsal place at 4.00 pm. But Anu was not there. She introduced herself to prithvi, Dhruv and hemant and also apologized for she couldn't come yesterday.

When Anurag reached the rehearsal place, he was once again welcomed by the sweet voice of Taani...

There was a pause. Yes, she didn't sing further... Everyone followed her gaze towards Anurag, who was now staring at her with a smile...

Anu: Please Continue...

She continued...

Armaan naye aise dil mein khile
Jinko kabhi main na jaanoon
Vo humse hum unse kabhi na mile
Kaise mile dil na jaanoon

Kaise unhein main pukaroon....
