Looks like writers are at a loss how to take the story forward post ravi-sudha marriage reveal and the sudden marriage of mahesh-poorna.
Like aishu-ganesh marriage mahesh-poorna marriage was too predictable. There is too much typical serial scenes now that I was hoping would be avoided.
It would e more interesting if vasantha and poorna were to understand that sudha is not at fault. Ravi' s memory loss track was unnecessary and the last minute reveal typical.
I can understand that the writers are making azhagu support sudha because she has no one. through sudha's dialogue it ias cleaar she isa very vulnerable so for azhagu to support her over her own family members makes sense. She is shown as believing poorna, vasantha are her own people and that they have people to fall back on if she steps away bit sudha's character does not. Unfortunately viewers area less likely to see that past poorna and vasantha's situation because they are only thinking about the two from their perspective and fail to see the marriage between sudha-Ravi is loveless and under severe circumstances (the murderous and violent threat of bhaskar and co towards sudha and appu).
The writers needs to step up their game and give more realistic scenes between azhagu- vasantha, vasantha-ravi appa, ravi-poorna, sudha-poorna, azhagu-poorna and etc to unravel this complicated and annoying situation that have weaved in the hopes of creating drama.
The writers, directors and producers need to give viewers credit. We don't like the fancy unrealistic costumes or makeup for actors especially when it does not fit the story... same way we want realistic scenes and continuity and flow in the story and are more critical of over the top drama and choppy screenplay andoveracting.
There is a reason why nayagi and azhagu have been doing well in comparison to other serials and that is becausethey are the closest to meeting the above criteria. We have more empathy and understanding and prefer multmulti-dimensional believable characters and call on characters who are supposedly 'saint's regardless of whether they are leads or not.
We want to watch serials not for it's fairytale romance or unrealistic villis or over the top kitchen politics. We want entertainment, weaves with the right amount of realism. We want ensemble casts with every character given importance. Also, we don't want to watch the same serial for more than necessary if the characters and story we grew to live is at risk of being ruined.
I never watched serials from visiomtimetamizh but because of revathy and thalaivasal vijay found my way. it seems like someone from the team noticed our critiques of Asihu' s over the top romance scenes/magee and devi's annoying murderous revenge plots and excess make-up and cut down on the scenes and makeup which was a great. I just hope they listen to us. As viewers we not only watch for entertainment but also a with the knowledge that to some these serials, media have power in breaking down stigma and reinforcing it so we ask that the product is balanced keeping this in mind.
