Chandralekha Episode 80 - 9th Jan 2015 Friday

Sethu is disappointed that he couldn't arrest Azhagu and wonders what he will tell Vasu after all the build-up he gave. He tells the driver to go to Vasu's house. Meanwhile Vasu is eagerly waiting for him and is excited about what happened. She asks if Azhagu received a sentence or escaped from the prison. Sethu says he is very sorry and says MD withdrew his complaint against Azhagu out of worry for possible strike by the workers. Vasu is furious and disappointed and scolds Sethu for being useless and giving her false hope. She tells him to leave. Suddenly Lekha asks him to stop for a minute.

Lekha tells Vasu not to be angry that Azhagu escaped and says she herself will make Azhagu go to prison and prove that she is Vasu's daughter.

A mother and daughter come to the matrimonial office and ask to register for a groom but the staff says they need a registration fee of Rs. 4000. Both are sad that it's too expensive and decide to leave when Sabari's twin, the Manager, comes out and volunteers to take full cost of the wedding and asks them to register. The mother falls on his feet but Manager stops her tells her that he is conducting this wedding as though it his sister's wedding. They go in to register. The staff reproaches him for being generous but Manager says he is doing this from the heart and that is more important. At the same time there is a cut in electricity and the lights go off. Manager and his staff are shocked.

Meanwhile Azhagu plans a strike with the other workers at the MD's house but Meena advises him to stop this and says MD was very kind to let him off. Azhagu tells Meena that she should not have fell on his feet and says he doesn't mind going to prison for his cause. Meena tries to tell him about the horrors of prison but Azhagu doesn't listen. Meena asks if Azhagu has told Chandra about losing his job or the problem with the MD. Azhagu says he hasn't told it yet but he will tell her soon. Meena asks him to let Chandra find out on her own or she will cause a big problem or write about it in her Chandra column in the magazine. She is worried MD will do something like Vasundhara. Meena advises Azhagu to stay at home and rest for a while but Azhagu says he needs a job to support the family and for Chandra's wedding and says Chandra already donated half of her salary to Thenmozhi.

Just then Chandra returns and guesses that her parents are in a serious discussion about her wedding. She announces that she will not marry until she is promoted to an Editor and she wants to succeed and reach many heights in her journalism career. Meena says Chandra should have quit the job instead of dreaming for promotions and angrily tells Chandra that she can do whatever she wants and leaves. Azhagu however comforts Chandra to do whatever she wants and not listen to her parents' advice and that Meena doesn't know anything about Chandra's journalism. He says he used to worry that Chandra's job is risky but he feels proud when people praise him for Chandra's work. Chandra thanks Azhagu for his support.

Sabari the thief is waiting for a lady to pass by her usual route to steal her necklace. Meanwhile Chandra and Meena are arriving in the same route in an auto on the way to the temple. Chandra jokes whether Meena is going to Mars on a Tuesday instead of temple. Just then Sabari sees the lady.

Chandralekha Episode 81 - 10th Jan 2015 Saturday

The thief Sabari spots the woman and pulls at her chain. The woman screams for help. Chandra and Meena hear the screams from the auto and are shocked. Chandra asks the driver to stop and runs towards Sabari. Meena is worried. Sabari lets go of the chain and gets onto his motorcycle. Chandra tries to block him but he drives past her and Meena. Chandra looks at Sabari driving away with disgust.

Meanwhile in the matrimonial office the manager (Sabari's twin) gets a call from the jewellery shop owner telling him that the police are on the lookout for him. He calls the manager Sabari (the thief and the Manager are the same person - Sabari). Sabari is worried.

A police officer reaches and enters the matrimonial office and heads for Sabari's room. Sabari is worried that someone gave his description to the police. Police officer starts talking with a strict tone about Sabari being concerned with people's necks and how many weddings he has conducted. Sabari is worried that he is talking about stealing chains. However the officer talks about thali on the neck and says he is here to find a groom for his sister in law. Sabari is relieved and assists him.

Chandra and Meena return to the auto and reach their destination which turns out to be the matrimonial office. Chandra is furious but Meena says she had to lie to bring Chandra here. As they go up the steps, Sabari who goes down the steps with the police officer sees Chandra and recognises her. He worries that she has recognised him and is here to catch him. However Chandra sees him but does not recognise him.

Chandra and Meena are greeted by Ramya and Ramesh who praise Chandra for her looks and suggest various wedding packages for her. Meena smiles but Chandra is irritated and asks Meena to fill in the registration form quickly. Ramya and Ramesh keep asking Meena if she has the registration fee and are relieved to find that Meena has it. Chandra starts to leave. Meena apologises and says Chandra is late for work. As they both leave Chandra lies that she left her handphone behind and goes back up. She takes the money from Ramya and Ramesh and goes into Sabari's room. Sabari is shocked. However Chandra doesn't recognise him to be the thief. She says she will pay a higher commission than her mother to them to stop looking for a groom for her and throws the money on his table. Ramesh comes in and places Chandra's details and horoscope on Sabari's table. Sabari glances at them.

Meanwhile two goondas see Azhagu on a motorcycle and trail him. Another goonda waits in a van nearby and calls the goonda on a motorcycle. They inform each other about Azhagu's arrival. Meanwhile there is a girl in the van playing with a cube.
