Poovarasu and Thamarai come to the temple as it is Thamarai's birthday. The saamiyaar leaves once seeing them so the new saamiyaar does the 'mandiram'. Poovarasu complains that the saamiyaar missed a word during his 'mandaram'. The new saamiyaar runs away so the original one returns to complete the mandaram.

Poovarasu and Thamarai go home by a bike. It breaks down mid-way and Poovarasu tries to repair the bike. It starts, stalls, starts, stalls and finally starts again and they come home.

Malliga, the youngest sister is sleeping but she was supposed to be studying. Once they knock on the door, she quickly gets up and makes it look like she has been studying. She opens the door. Poovarasu comes up in front of someone's picture (I think it is thier mother). Thamarai and Malliga have a happy chat ending with Thamarai pinching Malliga's cheek in a nice way.
