Humbled by the love I get in Gujarat: Dilip Joshi

Actor Dilip Joshi, who plays Jethalal in the hugely popular show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, says that he feels humbled by the kind of love that the show gets in Gujarat.

Talking about the show, which has been a huge hit in Gujarat from day one (they have shot often for the show in Gujarat and the characters are immensely popular here), he says, "The kind of fan-following that the show has makes us feel very blessed and humbled. Shooting for a daily hardly leaves time for anything else, but the love that we get makes it totally worth it."

Humbled by the love I get in Gujarat...why only Gujarat is this show only hit in Gujarat from day one?...

I thought this show is hit all over India does this show belongs only to Gujarat? or this show is only hit because its watched more in Gujarat?

Your Views pls...!!!

Mind you i am a big fan of Mr. Dilip Joshi...he is awesome...true expression king and wants to tell him that we love him like any other Gujarati fan...!!!

don't know y most of tmkoc actors only say its hit show in gujarat ...arre bhai pure india me hit hai 😆 i guess most of actors r from gujarat thats y ?

agreed the original writer, producer, main leads of the show, even the director is a Gujarati.

But this show is very popular and hit because its watched all over India, aur credit sirf gujarati jaanta ko...

so what abt fans other than gujarat? hum kya kare?...jakar kya papaya ki chatni khaye...ya jelebi fafda...😆...just kidding..

but he a great actor...no doubt abt that

If u r so proud of Gujaratis then do us a favor. Tell asit modi to dub the show in gujarati and continue this show in all Gujarati channels. After all the show is successful only because of them na.
I am sorry dilip but it was indeed a W*F statement.

art has no boundaries!

I thought he was a sensible actor who thought he was a national actor and not limited to one region.

His statements are shock to me.

But then I will give him a benefit of doubt as I don't know the source of interview. If it is by Gujarati edition of TOI then sometimes these statements are twisted to present them in a certain way to please certain community readers.

yep...media...Jai ho..lekin phir bhi agar wo gujarati audience ko bhi khe rahe hain then too this show is shown on national television, not just any local channel...so saying this statement does not go well with the fans of him and show all over india.

but ya u r rite...media wale kuch bhi twist kar sakte hain..😆
