1completely agree with you..any decent guy, well educated would never come for a TV swyamvar with a celebrity. If someone does apply..it is all just for fun.deepak is not even earning..how can he dream of marrying a tv star? they all know that these stars come with a price? can they take care of her expensive lifestyle? obviously not ! they came here for fun, name fame and some 5 star rest πIn all honesty, I don't understand why someone would apply to be part of Swayamwar for anything other than fame and money. With all due respect to anyone that applied, you can't fall in love with someone, or be attrracted to someone, when you see them essaying the role of character that's evidently different to how they actually are. I can't remember which dulha she said it too, but even Ratan said "Par main to Laali hoon hi nahi. Aap Ratan se shaadi kyun karne aaye hain."
All of the dulhe clearly have an idea of the kind of wife they would like. What reason would that have to think that Ratan would fit the image that they had? Some of them say ke woh Ratan ko "jaan ne aur pehchan ne" aaye hain. And that's fair enough. But my guess would be that the most decent of people would want to stay away from something like a Swayamwar which is bound to be rigged with controvery. Most of them also say that their families supported them when they decided to take part in the Swayamwar. But not many of the MILs seemed all that happy about their sons' futures with Ratan (not while she's working, at least).I don't know. Perhaps I'm just being very closed minded and negative about the whole think. I mean, I'd like to believe that there are some guys who would genuinely want to take part to take home their bride. But I just don't understand what would make someone so certain that they can see their life with an individual they know next to nothing about. Some of the dulhe genuinely seem(ed) like lovely people (read: Pardeep and Deepak). And seeing as none of the other dulhe have/had pointed fingers at them for being fake, it seems likely that they're not acting. But my question still remains. Would the nice guys actually apply for a Swayamwar?
:-)so very true !All the boys just came to get name and fame.None of the them have really fallen for Ratan..Why shd a NRI come all the way to marry a celebrity? in the mom's episode,we saw how none of the moms wanted a celebrity as a bahu. They wanted a sanskaari, typical bahu, which is natural. They are all from a middle class family and not a celebrity family.
Now the question of Deepak..many feel he is fit for Ratan, simple etc..well,the fact is he is playing the game well.He is not even established in his job, doesn't stand in his feet and aaya shadi karne..obviously,he needed some fame badly and also, some money out of this swyamvar..so I can see all the dulhas are here to get name, fame etc..and none really wants this expensive machine..they are after all from a midle class family and Ratan ke kharche and nakhre kaun sahega? koi nahi !Bottom line, even if Ratan chooses one of them and wants to marry one of them..the boys will bail out π

What if a guy is totally in love with Ratan after watching her soaps (I don't know why a guy watches soaps, but whatevah, lol) But don't you think that this would be the only chance of marrying her? If Priyanka Chopra would be in Swayamvar, I know there would be a lot of guys certainly not being there for the fame only.
