i think that to have wide base of loyal fans, the show need to air for a sufficiently long time. Time is of paramount importance i feel for two reasons -
1) even though its a daily its not a continuation of a single story and characters' screen space is divided, so basically u get to meet ur fav char once a week or so, and to grow attach to a new char is also time consuming because hey they come as part of 45 mins long subplots.2)the genre is not really popular in india... crime series do not sell that easily here unlike the west where u have crowds of them!if the prod house hopes to get the jackpot so easily without investing enough time and planning and researching good plot, then i ll say they r dreaming basically!!So how much and how long we will miss the show is questionable coz i guess it will be over before u even grow that attached to the cops and their stories.
