I'll add another piece of advice to add to this--try and cut down on white rice, white bread, etc and opt for whole grains. They are low GI and don't cause sudden sugar rushes.


Sugar is a culprit indeed and it's best to be avoided.

Don't skip meals. That will actually slow down your metabolism. Instead, eat small meals and snacks throughout the day (healthy stuff! fruits, vegetables, etc.). Drink water instead of any sugary drinks.


Start a workout program. Not just cardio. You need to do some sort of strength training. Even if you have no equipment you can do exercises like squats and lunges to build muscle. Look up "no-equipment workout" on youtube and follow along.

You can’t spot reduce fat . Ab exercises help your core but they won’t show anything till you have less than 20% fat which is done through 80% diet + 20% exercise

Calorie counting works best for me, especially if you do it via intermittent fasting. So I would usually consume 1000-1200 calories between 2pm to 8pm (6 hour eating window) and then fast until the following day.

Intermittent fasting is the best way to do it. I used to do 12 hours gap between my two meals & lost 10 Kgs within a month. Also try and walk for atleast 15 mins.


Now that I have lost that extra weight I’m maintaining it doing a bit of exercise following EMI Wong YouTube channel. It really helps.🤗
