i after watching television sometimes wonder whether fact is larger than fiction or is it otherway around and well special squad certainly contributes to this feelingas after watching the show you wonder whether in reality police investigations team can be so brilliant,swift in action and more importantly independent anyway special squad which airs every monday 9 30 pm on star one is show to watch with gripping storyline and good acting which makes it appear real.you might wonder whether it is same as cid but answer is no as cid focuses on general investigation ss deals with crime in more sophisticated manner
story
special squad basically is an elite investigative arm of mumbai police that deals with cases police dep cant solve.special squad is headed by acp aryan khanna(bhanu uday) an honest dedicated and brilliant officer who believes in taking on crime by scruff of neck yet he is in personal turmoil as he hasnt been able to track the killers of his family also in squad are forensic head deepika(gauri pradhan) who believes in solving case within the guidlines of rule book who also seems to be in love hate relationship with aryan.
ss also consist of computer whiz neha(manawa naik) who handles all the e logistics of case,investigator ajay desai(pankict) who is typica youngster who believes in living life kingsize and falls in love with woman yet is devoted to his duty,investigator boxer(iqbal azad) a poetry quoting cop who also is basicallt tough handle of squad and forensic exp shotgan(raj banerjee) who does all the basic autopsy,dna test etc and photographer zubin.
performance
aryan-bhanu uday is quite intense and convincing as aryan
deepika-gauri pradhan does not appears comfortable in role of a cop
ajay-pankit is quite good as ajay
boxer-iqbal azad sometimes is funny as boxer
manawa naik,raj banerjee do well in limited roles <>
