Update: Episode#24

the followin episode falls in my list of all time favourites...the others bein the old cases and when aryan is abt to confess to shai and her leavin....i can watch it over and over again..... the energy that shaina exudes is amazin.... i love the fights , everything.... she behaves like a total bitch...but thats what got me hooked onto the serial.... i think it's one of kuljeet's best performances....

and of course...let me not forget that she look absolutely stunning with her hair ironed again.... and the tops she wears make her look ooh la la....

and i feel so glad to be givin the update.... do tell me if u ppl like it!

a young woman has been murdered in her mud island bunglow.....
At the crime scene...
shaina asks boxer where ajay is...he doesnt know...
they ask the watchman regardin the lady...she's the wife of top criminal lawyer,manish nathani....shamita nathani... she used to learn music too... the watchman tells them that he went on leave at 12 noon... and that memsahb had come alone... when he came back at three, he found her dead.
they also find a set of contact lenses...with only one lens...shai opens shamita's eyes and says its not hers...
boxer asks zubin to click the tire tracks outside the bunglow....
Zubin: is tarah photo kheechte kheechte meri zindagi nikal jayegi...meri photo kheechnewala koi nahi hoga...!

At the table....
Shaina: koi yeh bahut desperately jatane ki koshish kar raha hai ki waha pe koi aur bhi tha.... ek aur baat, agar shamita ka galam ghota gaya, to waha struggle ke nishaan kyun nahi the?......... ved sahb?
ved , who was talkin to papaji, nods and says yes absentmindedly....shai asks neha to follow the lead of the lenses... ajay comes in...
Ajay: hey guys...
Shaina: ajay aaj tum crime scene par kyun nahi aaye...?
Ajay: arey maine bataya tha na...ki aaj meri mom aa rahi hai...unhi ko pick up karne gaya tha...
Shaina: lekin mujhe koi message nahi mila... tumne mujhe directly phone karke kyun nahi bataya...?
Ajay: main hamesha aryan ko advance mein inform kar deta tha...
Shaina: ajyay now i am in charge...aur tum yeh baat mujhe do teen din pehle bata sakte the...obviously tumhe kal to pata nahi chala ki tumhari mom aa rahi hai...
Ajay: (he holds up a hand to stop her angrily) shaina kyun baat ko badha rahi ho...?ab main aa gaya hoon na?
boxer tells shai that nathani has come...
Shaina: (b4 leaving,to ajay) .. humari baat abhi poori nahi hui...!

shaina speaks to nathani...who seems pretty dejected...he says that at the time of death,1.30 in the aftnoon,he was with a client... he had left for thane at 10.30 in the morning... he also states that one of his enemies must have done this...
Nathani: ab kya aap mujhe investigate karenge...?
Shaina: its...just....procedure...

the music tr's name was yuvraj... shaina asks boxer to chek on him and also to chek on the watchman,if he is lying... boxer suggests that one of the two jabs be given to ajay...
Shaina:... nahi...main ajay ke against indisciplinary action lene wali hoon... bahut irresponsible hota ja raha hai...yeh office hai,koi park nahi ki jab chahe moo uthake chale aaye...
Boxer: shaina....
Shaina: boxer hum is baare mein behas nahi karenge... waise bhi its late, we'll meet in the morning....(she leaves)
Boxer: we miss you aryan...!

the next day....

shotgun tells shaina that the tire tracks were of a maruti 800...
Shaina: pata karo ki nathani kaunsi gaadi chalata tha...
Shotgun: shaina...nathani top criminal lawyer hai...obviously 800 to nahi chalayega...
Shaina: shotgun...maine kaha pata karo...yahan khade khade assume mat karo ki woh kaunsi car chalata tha....!i need data and facts...unka main kya karti hoon yeh tum mujhpe chod do....
shotgun looks angrily after her at this insult...!

mr.tandon, nathani's client has come to the office...he tells shai that nathani was with them only till 11.45...after that he left for urgent work and dint know till what time they stayed...nathani had come with hs associate...NITU...

papaji tells shai that no semen traces were found in shamita's body...shai concludes that meant that shamita dint have an affair with anyone.... and manish had also tol them that sshe didnt have an affair... ved comes in with a sadistic smile...
Ved: tum apni theory par lagi raho...i'm very sure ki tum galat saabit hogi...aur tab, sabse jyaada khushi mujhe hogi...!
shai rolls her eyes as he leaves... boxer calls up sayin that yuvraj's house was locked and phone had no answer...
Shaina: boxer,tum ek kaam karo... uske ghar ka taala todo aur andar ghuske iski koi tasveer le lo...and then... seal the place!

boxer gets the photo and neha traces it...

they find out yuvraj drove a maruti 800...
ajay is in the pantry...very very angry... on the pool table, he messes up everything till every cue is in... boxer enters...
Boxer: yaar...samajh mein nahi aa raha hai kya bolu tujhse... kya ho gaya hai shaina ko ...?kyun kar rahi hai woh aisa? im relly feelin very sorry for you...
(its this amazin frnship in ajay-boxer that makes you luv them so much)
Ajay: chhod na yaar...case ka kya ho raha hai...?
boxer tells him and they discuss if nathani may have a motive to kill his wife....boxer asks ajay to chek that out as he has a lot of work...

papaji tells shai that shamita was sedated... that explained why there was no struggle...she goes to shotgun...
Shaina: shotgun wine glasses ka analysis ho gaya?
Shotgun: (rudely) wahi to kar raha hoon na...cant you see?
Shaina: shotgun...
he also tells her the glasses had no lipstick on them, but papaji says the body had lipstick on it when she died...

ajay finds out and tells shai that nathani was workin for shamita's dad's firm... and he was a huge flirt, with lots of affairs...if shamita had known about the affairs and divorced him, he would have lost the firm...maybe this was a strong motive to kill his wife...
Shaina: ajay i think is information mein koi dum nahi hai....aur waie bhi, maine tumse kaha tha na ki is case mein involve mat hona...? so why dont u stay out of it?
Ajay: as u wish...!

shaina meets nathani, who tells her he has cancelled all appointments to help them with the case...
Shaina: mr.nathani...
Nathani: actually, agar aap mujhe manish bulaengi...i'd prefer that...
Shaina: mr.nathani... (with more emphasis)
she asks him about his affairs nd he says that maybe his wife was insecure bcoz he was so rich and handsome...
Nathani: lekin aap nahi samjhengi...aap khoobsurat hai, intelligent hai...aapko to insecure feel karne ka mauka hi nahi milta hoga.... (shaina rolls her eyes...)agar aap yeh kehna chah rahi hai ki meri aur mere wife ke jhagdo ke wajah se maine uska khoon kar dala... to yeh bada baseless motive hai...aur main aap jaisi intelligent investigator se yeh expect nahi karta...
it was kinda fun to see karan oberoi, a handsome man himself, flirt with kuljeet...what was more fun was her rude replies to him...
manish shows her a speedin ticket he got at around 1.30, provin his alibi....
shai is now all the more confused...

neha tells shai that the contact lenses were +5 no. and expensive...maybe from abroad... they could be yuvraj's or nathani's...

yuvraj is brought for questionin...
Boxer: mumbai chhodkar jaa raha tha...
Yuvraj: maine kuch nahi kiya...(he's very scared)
Shaina: kuch nahi kiya to bhaag kyun rahe the...?
Yuvraj: bhaag nahi raha tha...main vacation par ja raha tha....
Boxer: (hits him on the head) bina suitcase ka...bina kapde ka...haan?
Yuvraj: woh main...main....
Shaina: (gets up angrily) main main kya...? jor se bolo jo bolna hai...!
Yuvraj: main apne gaon ja raha tha...
Shaina; listen yuvraj...apna jhoot apne paas hi rakhna...kyunki humare paas tumhare khilaaf evidence hai...!
yuvraj explains how shamita and he were good frnds... that day he went to her house with her in her car... shamita had turned alchoholic...they had champagne that day and then after some time...they were both unconscious...he woke up to find her dead...he ran away from there as he was scared...
Shaina: kitni aasani se tumne keh diya...ki tum dar gaye, isiliye wahan se bhaag gaye... shamita trusted you...(she points frustratedly and accusingly at him)..all you men are the same...rishta nibhaana to tum logon ko aata hi nahi hai....!!!
she crosscheks abt the champagne as they found white wine in the bunglow...also the watchman had told them that shamita came alone....!she asks boxer to get hold of the watchman...

boxer hits the watchman tellin him.."jail dekha hai kabhi...jail ki roti khayega na...to police se jhoot bolna bandh kar dega...!" the watchman confesses to have lied bcoz nathani told him to tell the police that shamita came alone, to protect his reputation....!

shaina goes to shotgun...
Shaina: shotgun....yeh champagne aur white wine ka kya confusion hai...?
shotgun tells her that they did find the cork of an expensive champagne bottle which they must have had that day....
Shaina: tumhare paas yeh saari information thi, aur tumne uska kuch nahi kiya....mujhe bataya kyun nahi...?
Shotgun: main ise report mein mention kar chuka hoon...
Shaina: tumne report mein kya likha...mujhe kya pata...? u should have directly told me this...(she leaves and shotgun follows)
Shotgun:miss shaina singh.... main hamesha apni saari findings report mein likhta hoon...jise aryan bareeki se padta tha...lekin unfortunately aap report padhne mein vishwas nahi rakhti....! aur waise bhi...facts state karna mera kaam hai... unka aap kya karti hai,yeh aapka kaam hai..! good day!!!
a crowd that gathered to watch the spectacle...disperses at shaina's glance...

shaina is havin cofee when neha and ajay come in... she shows them the speedin ticket... ajay looks at it and says that it dint prove that nathani was in the car...someone else could be driving the car to create his alibi... shaina says,"ajay u do know that ur suspended..." and she snatches the ticket and leaves ... as neha and ajay look dejected...

shai is interrogatin nathani...this is a scene to watch out for... shain is movin around the chair furiously, on which nathani is sittin...
Nathani: u know wht...? i think aap mere saath jyaada time spend karna chahti hai...isiliye mujhe yaha bulaya hai... not that i'm complainin...its just that main koi aur jagah prefer karta....
Shaina: mr.nathani...do u realise maine yaha aapko aapki wife ke murder ke case par bulaya hai...do u get that...?
Nathani: yes of course i get that...waise main aapko bata doon that im a very expensive lawyer...main per hour charge karta hoon... kahiye...kya poochna chahti thi aap?
Shaina: aapke client,mr.tandon ne hume bataya ki woh 11.45 tak chale gaye the...so is it not possible ki aap ghar pahunche, aur aap hi ne aapki wife ka khoon kiya...?
nathani: its also possible that my car was driving by itself.... aapne mera speedin ticket nahi dekha...
Shaina: gaadi us waqt waha thi...gaadi mein aap the...iski koi guarantee nahi hai... ho sakta hai,koi aur rash drivin karke aapki alibi create kar raha ho, aur aap kisi aur ki maruti 800 mein apne bunglow par pahunche...
Nathani: waise,yuvraj ke paas bhi maruti 800 hai...kya aapne woh pata karne ki taklif ki...?
Shaina: aapne watchman se kaha humse jhoot bolne ko...
Nathani: haan...kyonki main apni wife ko protect karna chahta tha...
Shaina: (laughs) to aapne watchman se jhoot bolne ko kaha...aapke liye yeh jyaada important tha ki aapki image spoil na ho...than the fact that she's dead!!! (she's yellin)
Nathani: dekhiye...chillaiye mat...main chahoon to main bhi chilla sakta hoon... main is waqt high profile case lad raha hoon... aur koi bhi self-respectin aadmi yeh nahi chahega ki uske image par keechad uchhaala jaye...whats so difficult to understand about that??
Shaina: BRILLIANT...!!! to aap kehna chah rahe hai ki aapke liye aapki wife ki death se jyaada important aapka kaam hai?
Nathani: thats right my work is very important to me... i dont like to lose... and when i go for the kill, i really go for it!
Shaina: ok...wht abt the champagne... yuvraj ne kaha ki un logon ne us din champagne pi thi...lekin hume wahan white wine mili...kyun?
Nathani: (he gets up calmly) ab aap mera waqt jaaya kar rahi hai...ur beginnin to annoy me now...! mere ghar mein champagne ho sakti hai...white wine ho sakti hai...so what...? i collect liquor...! what r u tryin to prove here?...u know, mera maanna hai ki tum logon ke paas aur koi suspect nahi hai... isiliye mera time waste kar rahi hai.... (he puts his hand on her shoulder) when u have some concrete evidence...some concrete proof...tab mujhe batana...
shaina , who was fumin till now... catches hold of his collar in an instant...and holds it tight without a word...
Nathani: (still calm) agar main chahu to aapki is harkat ke liye i can take u to court...! and then there will be more damages than u can pay for...! but u know what...? main aisa karoonga nahi...! u know why?? (smiles cheekily) because i like you...!
shai finally lets go of his collar in a huff... and points a finger at him in rage...
Shaina: manish nathani......i'll get you for this...!!!!!
and she leaves...
Nathani: (calls after her) sure...i'll be waiting...! (smiles)
