We dont know what is right and what is wrong !
It is my opinion that those situations were created so that Ram can lead his way following his Dharma . It is all pictured to show us . Teach some morals .
There are many things in Ramayan you can never agree with , but I guess these souls are beyond our imaginations .
You ll never see a person sacrificing his wife for his brother .
(you ll see someone going to courts against his brothers)
You ll never see a person sacrificing his kingdom for his father's words.
(You ll see someone going against his father , courts , arguements , oldage homes but ;eaving a property and going to exile is beyond imagination )
A preg wife leaving her husband and a Queen's luxury is impossible
(Bt u ll see a wife asking for divorce from her hubby for silly reasons)
And even after that she never hates her husband infact she remains being Pativratha ...
And many many more things ...
These things can never happen in reality .
These are created so that they become exemplary.

Laxman's death before Ram's was necessary as the Shesh-Naag (the seat of Vishnu) that was Laxman had to return first, before Vishnu returned to Vaikunth. Vishnu here was Lord Ram.
