It is depicting a refreshing view of highlighting the warrior aspect of Ram, because he was A WARRIOR first and foremost who killed demons. In order to kill demons, you will have to look intense because no one kills demons looking calm. The creatives are not sticking to one version of the ramayan but are pulling information from different literary content to give a holistic and different approach to this saga than what has been continuously showcased in television. From the beginning they said "It is the ramayan from SITA'S perspective." That alone should have alerted viewers that it was going to be different from what they are accustomed to seeing and that the writers and CV's are going to do add some different things to the show.

This is why I can't understand why some people are still voicing their discontent over this. The show isn't perfect but they are showing information through a different lens. I for one didn't know much about Shanta until they showed that part of the story here. Viewers would have known that this show was going to show some different unconventional things unless they blatantly decided to turn a blind eye to it.

And again there is no guarantee that this scene is going to play out as is in the show. It could just be a symbolic depiction of what is going to happen in the show.

This is just my view on the differing opinions here. 😊

And just a side note, that guy in your profile picture who that actor is portraying, Thor. He is a /Norse God/. Emphasis on God. The Norse God of Thunder. People worshiped him at one part of time and probably still do. He is an important part of norse mythology. The creator of Thor comics, Stan Lee used this Norse God for his character while maintaining that he is the God of Thunder with a lot of powers. So Stan Lee used information from Norse mythology for this character but took some liberties in tweaking it.

And your siggy, Ashok. I am sure the creators of that show are taking liberties in their portrayal of that character too. Ashok was a real person, with a real history, with some books written on him yet the creatives are surely plucking information from different scripts of literature to tell his story.

Point is, you are obviously supporting this being done for both Thor and Ashok. So again, I can't understand your and other's discontent over the creatives of Siya ke ram trying to pluck information from different things to tell this story as well. 😊

Ohh I'm talking about the original text only. Surely you don't want to argue over this point that except the original text , other versions are not to be taken seriously ?? At least not as seriously ??
If you disagree with this first and foremost vital point in the entire discussion there's simply no point in my furthering this , hopefully amicable , conversation with you.

It is a show which is not going by the precedent set by other versions of the Ramayan which only showcased the characters being overly calm and collected.
See , if you want to analyze some thing , you've to keep an open and free mind , which is free from prejudice and bias. Have you even seen the previous versions of Ramayan ?? I never felt they showed the characters as overly calm and collected. In fact they found a perfect balance between fierceness and calm manners.

It is depicting a refreshing view of highlighting the warrior aspect of Ram, because he was A WARRIOR first and foremost who killed demons. In order to kill demons, you will have to look intense because no one kills demons looking calm. Refreshing view indeed. Isn't it great that the CVs are constantly adding fictional events in the show in the name of "other version" !! Writing their own version of Ramayan only ! May I ask in which version of Ramayan this particular scene is written ?? And is that version well accepted as an authetic one ??
Answer to all this is a big NO. If you can provide text proof , to prove other wise, please do.
There was simply no need to say it so vehemently that Ram was a warrior first and foremost . Every one knows that. No one's denying that. Every one accepts that. Evem Sita was a pretty fierce and kickass lady and not just a model of patience and sacrifice and forgiveness. And the previous versions of Ramayans shown in television did complete justice to that side of Ram n Sita ji . I can refer to you certain scenes from the previous shows , to prove my point regarding this.
My question is- what has Ram's warrior side got to do with this big joke of a promo ?? Ram ji isn't looking like a warrior nor Sita ji a fierce lady , in fact she is not looking like Sita from any angle in the promo , the heavenly aura present in the child actress is completely missing, she's looking like a pretty princess and behaving like a Juliet and Ram looking like Romeo on horse back.
I failed to understand exactly why you gave a lengthy , albeit well written comment regarding Ram ji being a warrior prince. Enlighten me ??

This is why I can't understand why some people are still voicing their discontent over this. The show isn't perfect but they are showing information through a different lens. They can make a mockery of our age old sacred texts , blatantly and blindly ignore and disregard our religious sentiments , and yet at the end of the day we are the ones who are blatant and blind !! Great ! New Information , what information ?? From where ?? Source of such information ??
@blue part,
See how you are preaching some thing and yourself behaving completely the opposite !! Coming to this in my next part.
This is just my view on the differing opinions here. 😊

At red,
This entire part is meaningless and a study in jumping-blindly-into-conclusion/judgement. Were you not suggesting me just previously that one should wait it out to see how the actual scene plays out in the show and not hasten to declare/pass judgement only by watching the promo ??
Then why are you doing just the same ??

You simply said I support both Thor n Ashok, like where did that come from ???? You even said " obviously " !! Presumption much ??
One word of humble suggestion, please refrain from jumping into an idea about a person when you know absolutely nothing about her.
I severely hardly criticized CAS creative team and daily tear down their creative liberties with a historical figure like Ashok, and also that of Bindusaar, Chanakya, Helena and so on. You can check my comments in CAS forum EDT through my dash board.
So your confident guess missed the target widely and your entire arguement failed.

I've done in depth research on Norse mythology because Mythology is my obsession as well as hobby . So thanks for letting me know informations that I already know.

I'm a fan of Chris Helmworth and I simply couldn't care if Norse mythology is being tampered with, because, just in case you don't know it, no body practices it any more, Norse Gods are no more wprshipped. I know it's not directly hurting religious sentiments of any group.
But Ram and Sita ji are our living Gods. We've every right to voice our opinion and that too any where we see fit , if our religious sentiments are hurt. Our law gives us this right , no India forum law can challenge the law of Indian constituency.
You might ask why am I still watching this blatantly disrespectful show , and my answer will be because Ashish Sharma is playing the role of Ram and I'm his fan from GKD and CGM , his two previous shows. He has really worked hard to prepare himself for this role ,but the screen play and script are gonna fail him . That's why as a fan too, I need to raise my voice.
Good day to you. You'll see me more and more as a vigilante to raise my voice against blatant unforgivable liberties taken by SKR Cvs , once my final is over.

I do think strong action is needed right from the beginning to severely discourage these PH and their creative team from playing as they wish with our cultural and religious pillar stones and assets , our living Gods.
If they think every one is gonna stay silent despite such unforgivable liberties taken , they've another thing coming from them.

Not every one tolerates all these because of their favorite actor is part of the show.

Word . What gives these PHs to play as they wish with our religious sentiments, our gods, our rich tradition and cultural legacy for their money making ? Blatant distortions should be discouraged at all cost . It's not even entertaining !
