I too feel the same. Akshay was not introduced in launch of the show as lead. In Wednesday epi, Kajal's statement in mandir was something like Akshay is not her destined husband.

I want akshay Kajal Jodi to stay together.

It is Indian television, so female lead should be married to male lead and more than one marriage to lead is also a must track. CVs will slowly erase Akshay or separate kajal from him.
