shows like balika vadhu..doli armano ke are shows with social message...women empowerment

but silsila is more abt justifying emotions of love...there is no right and wrong in emotions..its how you control your emotions and approach it... its not a women empowerment or social message driven show...its a complicated love story of 3 people

Dunno what to comment on this..but this moving to channel would definitely concern TRP. And that wud ruin the show..atleast the online views on Voot supported for the shows to sustain as its the only access for the show..dunno how the numbers wud be when it's aired on TV..there are so many sites to air the show after the epi on TV..and ppl watch them there before it gets blocked by tel com of India..I hope they air on voot first and then on TV for ppl who can't access voot

If they show that she ends up with Kunal then the PH have stooped to the lowest of lows

I was ok that fine someone can fall out of love in a marriage and move on. He divorced Mauli and moved on. Now if he falls for Mauli again then it's disgusting. If Mauli forgives him and accepts him it's even more disgusting.

Actually they are making it clear that mauli will never give up on him. So we know what to expect. She will go to every lenght to debase herself for love. THAT is how they will write this story. So what is the plan for ishaan. He will be the new rajdeep

Protagonist in Pratigya & Doli were way more inspiring than Nandini in the show. These women were wronged but didn't wrong another women & that was women empowerment in every sense. Starting an EMA with your BF's husband is no where empowering, no matter how progressive we become.

Only inspiring thing about Nandini was her coming out of abusive marriage & trying to build a life of her own & she lost all that when she began an affair with her best-friend's husband. It doesn't matter who proposed but she accepted it without blinking & went behind her BF's back with her husband is what made me hate Nandini. She didn't even spare her a single thought to the woman who helped her in her worst time.

Mauli is the one who was inspiring in the story, which they didn't originally plan. Original focus of the story was on Kunal-Nandini only while Mauli was just a side-kick.

The makers of this show wanted to tell this story from the POV of other woman & justify all her actions on the so called feeling of love. He himself states it how a show like this works on TV only when wife is sympathized with & not other woman.

Secondly, how was Silsila No.1 on Voot but never in Top 10 of Online TRP. Naagin 3, BP & IMMJ also are Voot shows & have always maintained to be in Top10 or Top 5 of Online TRP. In fact, last week, when the show was only airing on Voot, it stood at 15th rank in Online TRP, while BP in its last week scored 33.3 & stood first.

^^I am not really sure how reliable the online trp list is,it is not released by credible organization like BARC releases the trp ratings.Many doubt and have asked about the source of this online trp list.

Ishqbaaaz used to be in top 10 of online trp list too while on hotstar it does not do so well (if the producer gul khan is to be believed).

Bepannaah must have done good on voot too otherwise the actors wouldn't have been given the option to continue the show there.But I think it is possible that silsila must be doing even better than bp on voot.

Can the writers and actors really go on claiming that silsila is no.1 on voot if it isn't?If the short videos of episodes which are uploaded on colors' youtube channel are to be compared then silsila usually gets way more views than bepannaah,anybody can go verify this.

Keeping all the above points in mind,silsila doing better than bepannaah on voot wouldn't be too shocking IMO,I have actually suspected this for quite some time,since I have been noticing the views of the short episodes on youtube.There really is quite a difference in the number of views.

Online TRPs are published on Tuesday. TV TRPs on Thursday. IF makes post about them with the very same sources only & so do various other sources who consider online popularity of the shows as an important trigger now a days.

No one can see online views of a video on these channel owned digital platforms. Only channel's internal management knows it & these very internal sources release this data to certain platforms for further calculation & release of online TRP on a set day.

Youtube is used for promotion only most of the times by uploading small clip of the episode, main online TRP is calculated by data released from channels operating their respective digital platforms.

Online ratings are counted as a % of overall target audience consuming that particular show on the main platform, i.e Voot, Jio Cinema, Airtel TV App. Naagin 3 fared well in that regard for months along with BP & few other shows like IMMJ, TA, etc.

Small clips of Silsila have gained more views on Youtube but the online TRPs which are considered equally reliable have not taken Silsila in Top 10 shows most of the times & other Colors shows scored fairly well in that. Silsila soared high during Mauli revelation track though.

You've just said everything I wanted to. Silsila - I found intriguing due to the original plot. We've literally seen dozens of shows where the 2nd woman is portrayed as a gold-digger & the Sati-Savitri wife moves heaven & earth to protect the Abla-Pati.

But it's not the scenario, at least not always. I loved the initial promos where it was evident that both for KuNan, Mauli was their first choice. And the writer could take a number of routes to show that. But unfortunately, they tried a bold idea with a backup plan of typical series which is a perfect wife - Mauli while trying to protect Nandini with the domestic violence angle. So everything fall apart. As for now, the way the show is going & from the article itself, I am 99% sure they are gonna attempt another unjustified reunion of MauNal - so be it.

If they ever come up with a second season, I just wish there they develop a proper story.

Even I found the plot intriguing originally. From the first episode I knew why could Nandini fall for Kunal & I was ready to watch how will she deal with them considering it is her best friend's husband who saved her life. I wanted to see how would Kunal fall out of love with Mauli & fall for her friend & deal with those feelings.

But, the way they unfolded the entire story made me so angry. In no way, I could stand with Nandini & no sane, neutral viewer could support her over Mauli.

Makers tried to justify an EMA, adultery, cheating as a divine affair & thought they could pass with it. No one in their sane mind will sympathize with other woman the way they showed this affair. Nandini's domestic abuse was not an excuse for her to do anything. I thought her being Mauli's best-friend would be an important thing for the story but the absolute mockery they made of it. She was romancing her BF's husband right in front of her & right under nose without an iota of guilt. I mean any sensitive, sensible woman would feel guilty of facing the wife of a married man with whom you are having an affair but nopes, makers were hell bent on showing the affair as the divine one.

Next is Ishaan who will be wronged now with the way the story is turning out to be. I understand that betrayal hurts a lot but MauNal as an end game, no where inspiring.
