Before we get to Kirtimaan, let's linger on the brief happy times for a moment 😉

There's that first conversation I just mentioned, where she's in awe of how he just saved her life and isn't even letting her make a big deal about it 😆

And then the next morning, when they get the news that Ugrasen has reprimanded Kans and freed them of the house arrest he imposed--they're happy with each other even before (see the wide shot), but then she smiles this grin of victory when they finally have reason to think they'll be able to have a normal life together 🥺 Anyone have any headcanons of that first year-year and a half, before Kans's plotting came to fruition and they thought they were safe under Ugrasen's protection?

I suppose it's still possible they could be the same age as Rohini. Maybe they got married around the same time as Vasudev and Rohini, but they didn't have any children all those years of Vasudev and Devaki's imprisonment.

Either way, neither couple was that young by the time Krishna/Yogmaya were born, as current serials show.

They do keep referring to Rohini as Didi, that's why I got confused in the first place! 😳

Lots of fluff and sweet Vasu-Devaki-Rohini scenes, especially the ones we discussed back when we were planning out story, with Rohini being the politician of the family, Vasu the peacemaker and Devaki the innocent dreamer. 😳

Also, would love to imagine cool Akrur-Vasu scenes where the structure of the Yadava vansh is made more evident and we learn just how complicated the relationships between the factions were.

Devaki maiya's scenes with the Krishna of her imaginations always makes me cry so bad! For all that was worth neither Devaki nor Yashoda should have had to give up Kanha at any point!😭

Yeah, they were so emotional!

Yes, it would have been nice if both got to keep him, but what Shri Krishna's life story teaches us is that life gives us both tragedies and extreme happy situations. Just as we accept the happiness, we must also accept the sadness and learn to overcome it. Both Devaki and Yashoda had to experience some tragedy in their life along with happiness, but I bet if we asked them if they'd change anything about their situation, they would say "NO", because the joy they experienced for being the Mother of Krishna was greater than any sorrow in their life.

We can learn from both Devaki and Yashoda what it means to be a mother. They sacrificed their own happiness for the well being of their child, and that's why God chose them to be his Mothers in that avatar.

Beautiful sig Janu ❤️ And totally agree with both of you!

As for the headcanons, add to the ones you mentioned one more--that during that pre-imprisonment period, Devaki bonded with toddler Uddhav, who was like her first child with whom she realized what kind of mischievous, be-a-kid-with-my-kid mom she would want be... but never got to be 🥺

I guess that brings us back to the Kirtimaan scene? Or a dissertation on Tu Dheeraj... hmmmmm...

Yes I always feel irritated when someone says Devaki was selfish for having snet Krishna away, for she essentially endangered herself more na by doing that!

Aww, that would be so cute and yet heartbreaking! Was Uddhav that much older than Krishna?
