I do think it's a pity that it's considered taboo by serials to show it. SPK could have done a good job had they not made that part of the serial so Karna-centric, which was impossible

How could they make Mausal Parva Karna centric?

You'd have to see it to believe it.

First of all, Krishna's son Samba (misnamed Shyam in this serial) who married Lakshmanaa - they had him start the battle. It was a free for all, which ended w/ Balarama killing him. Then they show Jara shooting Krishna, Krishna telling Jara that he was Vali during Rama avatar, and taking him along. Then Arjun comes and evacuates Dwarka, and they show his battle w/ the bandits where the only girl he somehow manages to save was Lakshmanaa (actually, why even her, I wondered?)

Then at Hastinapur or Indraprastha, Parikshit was crowned king of Hastinapur, Vrishaketu Indraprastha and Vajra Mathura. Vrushali, Uttara and Lakshmanaa all witnessed the ceremony.

Then the Pandavas make that final journey, where Sahadev accuses Yudhisthir of being step-brotherly when Nakul falls to his death, and then after Arjun and Bhima fall as well, they show things a bit normally. The final scene is Karna on a throne, surrounded by admiring Kauravas and Pandavas. (In reality, Karna had returned to Suryakund, and everyone was separated - Bhima w/ Vayu, Nakul & Sahadev w/ the Ashwin twins, Yudhisthir and Arjun w/ Vishnu, and most of the other warriors w/ their celestial originals)

Ok so he saved Lakshmana great. Actually I really hope he would have been able to save her in reality. The girl suffered a lot.

Anyhow still then it's the Swargarohan parva which is Karna centric, Mausal Parva is still some how free of it. I actually was afraid they could have made Mausal Parva Karna centric too

By the way, in that show Karna's son was a friend of Samb and he decided to join the Kauravas only since Samb had declared that he would support Kauravas, but at the end he doesn't join the war while Karna's son does

Did they give any justification for it?

In SB, Krishna gets to talk to Daruka and direct him on the directions to give his people and Arjun. In MB, he asks his father to hand over all control to Arjun.

In MB, Arjun did discover and cremate the bodies of Balarama and Krishna. In both MB and SB, the devas carried Krishna back to Vaikuntha, but in SB, no mention is made of Krishna's cremation

RamKiSeeta is correct: except for that Karna show, no serial has ever shown the demise of the Yadavas or the final journey of the Pandavas.

Also, in MB and SB it mentions that the Ashtabharya of Krishna all perform Sati on Krishna's pyre as they were all ansh of Lakshmi and couldn't remain on Earth when Narayan had left it. Same with Revathi, who performed Sati on Balarama's pyre. The other 16,100 "wives" were all kidnapped by Nishada hunters when Arjuna (on Krishna's orders) was taking them to Indraprastha.

Actually, all 8 didn't, and technically, it wasn't sati. Sati was the immolation on the husband's pyre, and in the MB, Madri did it earlier on, and Devaki, Rohini, Bhadra and Madira - Vasudeva's wives, did it for him.

But of Krishna's wives, whoever self-immolated did so in Indraprastha after the crowning of Vajra. Three of Krishna's wives didn't - Satyabhama, Satya and Lakshmanaa. Those 3 took sanyas. And the other 16,100 wives drowned themselves in the Saraswati river

No, they didn't

I was actually hoping for Lakshmanaa to run away w/ the dacoits, proclaiming that she never liked being married into Krishna's family in the first place. That would have been compatible w/ being a daughter of Dury

ha ha

But this Lakshmana wasn't of that sort. She had actually eloped with Samb. Loved him dearly. She didn't want the war to happen

I don't think she could behave the way you Said

Okay. But the original Lakshmanaa was abducted against her will. Actually, she wasn't rpaed: the custom in those days was that if a man touched an unmarried woman, she was automatically tainted for anyone else. Yeah, I know it sounds barbaric, but that was the norm then. So the moment Samba seized her hand, none of the other suitors would have been interested in her: that swayamvar was over! And had Samba been killed, Lakshmanaa could never have married.

Actually from what I read she was actually being r**ed. It wasn't just a simple abduction that was pretty common those days, Duryodhan abducted two of his wives, Arjun abducted Subhadra, Bheeshm abducted the Kashi princesses

Yes the suitors would have definitely backed out still staying with a molester wasn't an option either if you ask me.

That's the reason I like Draupadi, she ensured punishment for those who tries to molest her

According to orrisa legend that when Lord krishna body was cremated then only his heart is not burn ( but I don't believe that krishna body is cremated because when Lord krishna feet was struck by jara arrow Lord krishna was already in 4 arms so how can any one burn Lord krishna body with 4 arms because body with 4 arms is not ordinary body)

Btw which mausi house Jagannath with sister subhadra and balram use the visit in mausi house at puri in orrisa
