Jalwa... jalwa...jalwaa...

Yo blaze up the walk

Light it up to the beat come on...

Jalwa... jalwa...

Jismo ka hai yeh jalwa,

Kismo ka hai yeh jalwa

Shohrat bhi de yeh jalwa

Maksad bhi de yeh jalwa

Dilkash lage yeh jalwa

Mehkash lage yeh jalwa

Nasha hi nasha yeh jalwa

Ho maza hi maza , nasha hi nasha

Hai jalwa...

"Anokhi... tu ready haina" a girl says putting her hand on her friend's shoulder.

"Ha... haan Reema, main... main bilkul ready hu" Anokhi replies with confidence but still nervousness visible on her face.

"Tere liye aaj bohot bada din hai, teri wish poori hone jaa rhi hai. Main tere liye bohot khush hu" Reema says cupping her face.

Tears welled up in Anokhi's eyes as she recalls a memory.

"Soch le Nikki... agar tune is ghar se bahr kadam rakhe to fir dobara yaha tere liye koi jagah nhi hogi"

"Papaji... mainu maaf kar dena... lekin main aapki ye baat nhi maan paungi"

"Bhalla ji, aap ek baar Nikki ki baat to suniye... use rokiye... vo jaa rhi hai"

"Use jaane de Rama... ab mera usse koi rishta nhi"

Back to present

Anokhi says, "Haan Reema, aaj mere liye bohot bada din hai..."

"Saat saal pehle main... main Kapurthala se bhaag kr yaha Mumbai aa gyi thi..."

"Uske baad na papaji ne baare mein kbhi janne ki koshish ki aur na hi meri unse kbhi baat hui... sirf mumma se hi baat hoti hai kabhi-kabhi..."

Aaj ke din ke liye maine bohot mehnat ki hai..."

"In saat saalo mein alag-alag fashion designers ke saath kaam kiya, kitni baar reject hui... ads shoot kiye... photoshoot kiye... aur to aur khud makeup artist ka bhi kaam kiya yaha Mumbai mein tikne ke liye..."

"Itne saalo ke struggle ke baad... aaj aakhirkaar vo din aa gya jiska mujhe intezaar tha."

Tears were continuously rolling down her cheeks.

"Anokhi, aaj to khushi ka din haina... tu aise royegi na to tera saara make-up kharab ho jayega. Please ek baar smile kar na" Reema says wiping her beloved friend's tears.

"Huhh... Reema tu bhi na" Anokhi smiles a little and hugs Reema.

"Tu hasi... hasi na. Dekha Reema ka jalwa... vaise abhi to bahr sbhi ko dekhne ko milne wala hai Anokhi ke FASHION KA JALWA" Reema says smirking releasing from the hug.

"Reema yaar... tu aur tere dialogues... ", Anokhi says with a laugh.

"Vaise Reema... THANK YOU... THANK YOU SO MUCH..."

"Tu nhi hoti to main aaj yaha nhi pahunch paati..."

"Tune humesha mujhe support kiya hai... mujhe sahi samay pr salaah diye ... humesha mujhe motivate kiya hai..."

"Jb bhi maine akela mehsoos kiya, jb bhi mujhe apni family ki yaad aayi maine tujhe apne paas paaya..."

"Main saat saal pehle jb yaha aayi thi tb bilkul akeli thi lekin fir mujhe tu mili... jo ki meri hi tarah ek model banne ke liye struggle kar rhi thi..."

"Mujhe aaj bhi yaad hai vo din jb main tujhse pehli baar mili thi us studio mein..."

"Main tere bina itna sab nhi kar paati..."

"Reema... itne saalo tk mera saath dene ke liye thank you so much. LOVE YOU" Anokhi says being a little emotional.

"LOVE YOU TOO MERI JAAN..."

"Par ye kya baat hui har baat pe thank you Reema??... Main teri dost hu aur humesha rahungi..."

"Tujhe poori zindagi mujhe jhelna padhega. Aur tu jo bhi hai apne talent ki vajah se hai... main to bas kabhi-kabhi kuch kaam ke advice de deti hu" Reema says and pulls Anokhi's cheeks.

"Anokhi... main jaanti hu tere papaji nhi chahte the ki tu modelling kare... iske peeche reason logo ki soch hi hai... logo ko lagta hai ki ye sab modelling-vodelling faaltu kaam hai... vo sochte hai ye sb kaam achche ghar ke log nhi karte..."

"Apne physical appearance ko maintain krne ke liye models ko kitna hard work karna padhta hai..."

"Anokhi... tu aaj ke fashion show ki showstopper hai... apna best dena. Logo ko dikha dena ki modelling bhi koi aasaan kaam nhi hai, yeh bhi ek profession hai..."

"Aaj ka ye show TV pe bhi live telecast ho rha hai. Mujhe poora bharosa hai tere papaji bhi ye show zaroor dekhenge..."

"Bhale hi vo tujhse naraaz ho pr vo to tere papa haina. Aunty ji ne unhe aaj ke show ke baare mein btaya hoga kyunki unko is din ka besabri se intezaar tha. Aur dekhna aaj ke din ke baad tere papaji tujhse zyada din naraaz nhi reh paayenge." Reema says.

"Kaash teri baat sach ho jaaye... Reema... maine mumma ko aaj ke baare mein btaya to tha lekin pta nhi papaji..." Anokhi says but couldn't speak further.

"Anokhi... sb kuch thik ho jayega. Bas tu apne walk par concentrate karna. Main vha peeche se tujhe cheers karungi..."

"ALL THE BEST JAAN" Reema says pulling her into a tight hug.

"Thank you Reema"

"Firse thank you!!" Reema complains.

"Achcha baba welcome Reema"

"Haan ye thik hai" says Reema.

With that both burst out into laughter.

"Anokhi, tumhari turn aane wali hai... backstage jaakr khadi ho jaao" a lady said.

Anokhi goes towards the backstage with full determination.

The fashion show was going on. It was the second last model's turn. With each passing second, her heart was beating faster. Beads of sweat formed on her forehead.

"Anokhi... its your turn... Go"

But Anokhi couldn't hear anything. She stood there numb. The scene of the moment when she ran away from her home flashed through her eyes.

"USE JAANE DE RAMA... AB MERA USSE KOI RISHTA NHI" rang in her ears and her eyes turned misty.

"Come on Anokhi !... Go now... its your turn"

"Anokhi !..."

Everyone was asking her to go but in vain.

Reema understood that Anokhi was being nervous.

"Anokhi..."

N-O-W!... " Reema shouted from behind breaking her trance.

Anokhi lifted her gown, raised her feet, put her first step on the stage, all spotlights focused on her with cameramen ready at their positions.

Aag si ravaniyan, leti hai angdaiyaan

Yeh jala de dilo mein chingariyaan

And everyone's attention went to the girl having kohled eyes, decked up in a high neck full-sleeved black ball gown and hair swaying in the air.

Hai... yeh jalwa yeh jalwa

Fashion ka hai yeh jalwa...

yeh jalwa yeh jalwa

Fashion ka hai yeh jalwa...

yeh jalwa yeh jalwa

Fashion ka hai yeh jalwa...

yeh jalwa yeh jalwa

Fashion ka hai yeh jalwaaaahh...

She ramp walked till the end with great potency, fire in her eyes and with her each step, the audience's applause increased seeing her style of walking, her expressions and her elegance of carrying the dress.

Cameramen clicked her photos as she posed. Renowned fashion designers were also present there and they had already started discussing her beauty and talent.

Reema was smiling from the behind at her friend's success and her eyes turned glossy. She said to herself, "You rocked Anokhi... you nailed it."

Everyone's reaction was enough to convey that Anokhi had finally done what she had dreamt of from the beginning.

Soon, the fashion designer joined Anokhi at the stage and both shared a hug. Anokhi turned back and smiled looking at Reema, her TRUE FRIEND.

The show concluded with audience's standing ovation.

A man takes off his glasses and puts them on the table as it was blurred by his tears. He smiles looking at the TV.

"Bhalla ji, hum...humari Nikki TV pr aa rhi hai... dekho..."

"Maine kaha tha na aapse ki ek din vo apna sapna zaroor poora karegi... meri Nikki ne kar dikhaya..."

"Itne bade-bade designers usse haath mila rhe hai..."

"Aap jis Nikki se itne saalo se naraaz the ye sochke ki usne apne parivaar ka naak katva diya usne asal mein aaj apne parivaar ka naam raushan kar diya hai" the woman sitting beside the man says this while tears of happiness were continuously rolling down her cheeks.

"Haan Rama..." the man spoke, his voice choking.

"Aaj Nikki ko aise TV pr dekhkar mujhe bohot khushi ho rhi hai..."

"Main usse itne saalo tak naraaz zaroor tha pr kabhi uska bura nhi chaha..."

"Aaj main... main aaj apni galti maanta hu. Main khud bolta hu ki main galat tha..."

"Usne apne ghar se bhag kar koi galat kaam nhi kiya... nhi to mere vajah se use apna sapna chodhna padhta..."

"Main ek achcha baap nhi ban paya lekin meri Nikki... meri Nikki ne beti hone ka poora farz nibhaya."

"Main aaj garv se kehta hu... NIKKI MERI BETI HAI AUR MUJHE US PAR NAAZ HAI."
