This is not new for Hotstar. So didn't worry about it too much. They don't even read the WU before writing the summary

Anyways I loved the parallel scenes between Shaurya Anokhi and Shaan Aastha. But wish they were shown at a stretch instead of the random switches. The episode was soothing, like the calm before the storm. Tomorrow Devi Ma is going to be on Kaikeyi mode.

I thought the changing of scenes was too fast for my liking. I would have preferred if they kept it 4 mins here and 4 mins there then changing every 1 and half minutes. I had to watch it twice before I grasped what each character talked about in order to write this review.

Shaurya is too overconfident. He was busy staring at Anokhi and stopped following the map. Don't blame Google for his carelessness. And then he went round and round. Very bad with directions (only follows Devi Ma's directions), I must say. He was happy with Anokhi's thank you and sorry but tried to act humble. All the past baggages in their relationship has been dropped and now they can start afresh.

Please tell me it was a joke. Shaurya would never do this intentionally. He has earned that bit of a trust from me

Anokhi was looking cute munching on the interesting food. It is good that she taunted Shaurya. I would have done the same. He was in the wrong but would not admit it. He refused to take help out of ego. Shaurya saying he chooses his own path and Anokhi pointing out that his path is meandering and twisted foreshadowed how he will go about their relationship.

No, I was thinking the type of professional relationship they have, a student cannot dare to say this to her teacher. I have nothing against prof-student relation, but at times I tend to relate this to a real life scenario.

It is understandable that everyone is aware of their feelings except these two. Parents' antennas are always tuned to receive these signals first.

Aastha and Shaan - I don't think there was disdain in her tone when she asked him to address the complaints of his son and his family. Shaan has hurt Aastha, Shaurya and his family. Aastha doesn't hold any grudge against him because she respected his decision, but neither Shaurya nor his family has forgiven him. She does not have any expectations from him, they have, so she wants him to fulfill those. The "tumhara beta" was in the sense that she has lost her rights on him and can not do much for him even if she wants now. But he still considers Shaan his father and she wants him to choose Shaurya over her (during the birthday, Shaurya accused her of taking his father away. So it can be in that sense). About her lack of concern for Anokhi, I guess it is somewhere at the back of her mind. She just informed Shaan about their budding feelings, we still don't know how she feels about it. Today she merely placed the facts before him. Though somewhere she will tend to overcompensate here out of guilt and support the relationship because she wants Shaurya to be happy. Shaan, on the other hand is dismissive of it from the beginning because he too has a guilt of not supporting Aastha. He doesn't want Anokhi to suffer the same way as her. So their reaction is a product of their guilt. When they can think of it with a more open mind, they will be able to judge it better. Btw, Shaan was too cute trying to woo his lady love. I am glad they were not totally engrossed with themselves and discussed their son. (I am happy with what little I get.)

This perspective helps a bit. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

Nothing to say about Devi and the rest of the family.

Looking at the precap, I am pretty sure tomorrow first few mins will be fantastic but I will quit watching the show on daily basis... I cannot see Anokhi going all red thinking about Shaurya liking her and Badi maa's promise of Shaurya...

It's your decision. I would say you should at least wait for the track to start before you make a final decision. Else there are many people who watch a bank of epis at once. You can do that.

Naa bass... I am fed up of jealousy track for Anokhi... And I have my own reasons... I have my own reasons to feel comfortable watching Shaurya burn with jealousy over Anokhi... Anokhi is more focused on studies and they have opposite personality... So something that can suite Shaurya need not suite Anokhi... So far in terms of Soch... Shaurya could be considered lucky one to have Anokhi in his life and he should keep trying and fear losing her over... Vice versa.. Otherwise if Anokhi does not got get Shaurya (just a theoratical explanation of why jealousy does not suite her) she is definitely lucky one🤣 as shaan said... But more than anything jealousy is to make one realize how other person is important... Anokhi never felt Shaurya was not good enough for her like Shaurya once did and would have done through out for long... But I can sense through precap it's coming...

We don't know how love will change her yet. The Anokhi who came from Kapurthala is different from the Anokhi who fell in love with Shaurya. I do expect some change in her reactions and that is because it is a normal. I also don't see why Shaurya should be the only one burning in jealousy. Jealousy didn't suit his character too before he met Anokhi. Wasn't he jealous then? I get she is focussed on studies, but then Shaurya was focussed on work too. If Shaurya can make her his priority, why can't Anokhi make him hers? And making someone your priority doesn't necessarily mean you have nothing else to do in life. You can keep the person above everything else and keep studies second in line. If Shaurya really loves Anokhi, I am 100% sure, he will help Anokhi with college and career in future.

I get confused too with their names Bebo and Kitty.. And to be honest, I don't even care... I skip the whole nonsese negative scenes in the show.... Family part is usually so boring I just watched Shaan Astha and Shaurya Suhani scenes...

Who is Suhani?

And to be honest, Shaan Astha took the trophy...

Astha... I am glad she isn't talking to Shaurya directly given the way he clearly called her out...

Since he was all cool with divorce kind of accepting Devil's claim that this Shaurya's happiness... I do want to see Shaurya resiliate Shaan and Astha's reunion whenever it comes up... Blasting at Astha in front of Anokhi and repeating his own words that woman are meant to be taking care of the house! And that he expects same from his wife... Whatever butterflies she has for Shaurya till then will die🤪 then he can begin his mission of changing this perception and again run after Anokhi as she keeps denying any feelings for him!

I liked Shaan's intentions, but I didn't like how he failed to trust Shaurya. He needs to know that it is not the classic case of like father like son

That’s what i was able to pick up oth time that I watched the scene. If anything, I think she may just be surprised with Shaurya-Anokhi’s developing bond and from both ends. Shaurya’s was more visible whereas Anokhi’s was lost in her ‘shikayaten’ (loved that line btw). I think she was just mulling over the complexities of the situation - on their professional and personal front - and not really thinking about long term complications as Shaan was. And she may even wait to see what happens next to take a firm stand in favour or against Shakhi. While I truly appreciate Shaan’s concern for Anokhi, I dont think he was right in saying -‘ Shaurya kisise pyaar nahi kar sakta’. Shaurya didnt have that kind of relationship in his past, but it doesn't mean he won’t ever.

Ditto. I hated it when he said that. I mean he is your son, still you can't trust him as much. This was ridiculous

I meant Anokhi, not Suhani... There was another show that I used to associate strongly with on SP called Shaurya aur Suhani and it starred Sriti.

I will just point out that Shaurya always had this particular characteristic of jealousy, anger since the start.. Except that journey went from being Jealous of Anokhi to Jealous for her... It just would make Anokhi cry buckets of tears, I had already skipped Rustication drama for sake of avoiding lot of negativity... But yes.. That's one point. And in normal shows.. I don't prefer seeing jealousy track at all, unless it's just for sake of comic relief or the planned one with consent of anther person involved... It's just a disaster in any relationship. Over here, I was fine because Shaurya literally had alot of toxicity.. It has reduced to great extent, so now I do want smoother journey for him. Since this is DJs, I still have some hope for not having unnecessary jealousy tracks, they are fond of it for main characters as far as I know..

So, mostly... If they are following MU series like mentioned in OG (whatever I read so far is terrible about Mohor tracks), I am happy to just watch carrots on Instagram till ShaKhi are happy or Astha Shaan are stronger characters.

Dulha is busy with his potential girlfriend and dulhe ka baap with his ex-wife while the evil stepmother is planning to get Dulha another dulhan belonging from their posh society but having conservative ideals to match the Saberwals. I don't know if the latter part is true. It's just my guess.

Looks like everytime I feel bad about the character inconsistencies, they give me an episode that covers up for it. I am talking about Aastha here. I critiqued her the last two days. Today she made me praise her. Let's start with the reviews:

Anokhi: "shikayat mein bhi pyaar hota hain, Shaan" Aastha's line aptly summarizes Anokhi's current feelings for Shaurya. She complains because she expects and she expects because she trusts him. She considers him someone who is her own. I don't know if it because he helped her during the ragging case, riots, cheating or kidnapping track or because he is merely her favorite teacher's son. No students have so so much expectation from a teacher and I am saying it in a good way. During the riots track, we first saw how much she expects from him. Ahir was there. He could have saved her. But she wanted Shaurya there. Why? Even now we see her kidding with him, taunting him, asking promises, laughing with him. "Apna ego aur gussa idhar hi chor ke jaiye" no one would dare say this to a teacher. If Shaurya has crossed the line, she too did. "Shayad usse khud pata nahi ki vo kya feel karti hain" Must say she is a dumbo in this case. She didn't understand Shaurya's advances, I don't expect her to realize her own feelings so soon. I also liked how she said Thank you and Sorry. I am glad CVs didn't forget her share of mistakes and made her apologize for that. Normally, in ITV the ML's faults are so obvious that the audience tends to forget the FL's faults and never make them say sorry. This was a nice change. Oh! We got a new name for Shaurya. PS. Don't misunderstand. It doesn't mean Please See. It means Professor Shaurya. Abhi tak bechara Anokhi ka professor hi bana raha.

Shaurya: Thanks for making it clear that they were using a GPS. GPS do show wrong route sometimes, so I will give it a pass. In his first scene with Anokhi, he made it clear that he would have helped any person during the goon track and any student in the rustication track. Anokhi's expressions made me feel she will start loving him for this nature of his only. I am glad he controlled his anger on Anokhi today. Part of the reason was that he didn't want her to jump out of his car or go back to Kapurthala, but I am okay as long as his intentions are good. Anokhi was hurling taunts at him one after another. A teacher at this point would definitely feel disrespected and if the teacher is like Shaurya, he would lash out at her. Man is being patient and I appreciate it. Being an impatient person myself, I know how hard it is. Also considering the fact that they lost their way and he was under a lot of stress. "Itna bhi sorry mat boliye sir ki uske mayne hi badal jaye" I think a lot of people IRL tend to do this. I don't know about Shaurya in that scene. He says he doesn't say sorry unless he really means it. So I trust him. I mean I have to? By the way, his reactions to PS and all other taunts of hers were so cute. The cutest was this, "Sabkuch akele hi ka gayu muje pucha bhi nahi" when she was munching on his "interesting khana" without offering them to him. The promises he made Anokhi say were nice. The promise Anokhi made him do was more meaningful. Finally, someone other than Aastha said she has a bright future and he wants her to succeed. If he manages to not mess up and support her this way, he can truly redempt.

Shaan: I loved his confidence. Wish he showed the same confidence 25 years ago. Life and Shaurya would be better. At least he has buckled up and now wants to reform their relationship. I thought he would propose and remarry Aastha. He demanded friendship. Still a step ahead of Shaurya. He has improved as a husband, but not a father. "Shaurya mera beta hain aur main use ache se janta hu" My foot! Aastha can see the budding love in him despite being away for 25 years but Shaan can't? "Shaurya kisise Pyaar nahi karsakta" I can't believe he doesn't trust his own son yet expects the latter to respect him and his wife. He needs to understand that Shaurya in love will be different than Shaan in love. He fought for her against Tej-Devi for Anokhi, a student. We can imagine what he will do for a wife/girlfriend he loves. Having said that, I appreciate his intentions. He doesn't want his son to end up like him or Anokhi to be thrown out like Aastha was.

Aastha: Yay! Happy about her today. She asked why Shaurya didn't marry yet. She also notices the budding feelings in his heart. That removes my complaints from her over the last two days. Still, I expected a better reaction when he jumped in front of the car. Also, today when she said "Apne bete aur parivaar ki shikayat door karo," I didn't like it. He is your son too, ma'am? In any other context, I would take this lightly. People do say "tumhara beta" or "tumhari beti" but the context and disdain it was spoken with did not impress me. I observed when she talked about ShaKhi relationship, she was mostly speaking in Shaurya's favor. Shaan rather spoke in Anokhi's favor. She knows what it is to be a Saberwal bahu. Does she want her student to go through all that? Maybe she trusts her son more. I feel if they switched Shaan and Aastha POV on Shakhi's relationship, it would make more sense (not that it won't make me curse Aastha). Overall, I felt caring for your son over student a typical and obvious thing. I won't really blame her for this.

Devilok: "Mera Shaurya aisa nahi ha" We all know how her Shaurya is. Anyways, I felt her annoyance. Shaurya and Shaan both being with the ladies annoyed her. And Kanchan's dialogue at the end should make her blast in fury. Ab toh Shaurya ki shaadi pakki. Hogi ki Nahi pata nahi. I felt the bit where she watches Kanchan dance and doesn't fume a bit out of character. She has always differentiated between ghar ki betiyaan and bahu. If Kitty-Bebo danced, it was okay to her. How come she didn't say anything when Kanchan danced?

Kanchan: I saw Sejal mentioning somewhere that the importance of Kanchan was only till the bhanda pod scene. She was meant to spill the beans only. After this, I too don't think Shaurya will confide in her. I hope that is the case and we don't have to see her OTT reactions. (I will tag sejal below)

Bebo: It took me three months to figure out which one is Bebo. These twins always stay together that I remained confused until I saw her name when she was messaging with AA. I have a strong feeling that this girl is going to land herself in trouble. I hope either Shaurya or Anokhi, preferably the latter, save her on time.

Precap: Thank god everyone in SIAC is not blind. Reema sensed something cooking. My naive Anokhi hasn't! It won't be too late until she starts falling too, I guess. On the other hand, Shaurya makes a promise to Badi Ma. My bet is she will ask him to marry another girl when things run out of her hands. How do I know? I grew up watching ITV.

Waiting to know your thoughts.

Wonderfully analyzed. I resonate your feelings about Astha, good to see she was observant about budding feelings between Shaurya and Anokhi.

Now for rant- I cannot get over how little Shaan knows and understands Shaurya. When he said "Shaurya kissi se pyar nahi kar sakta", I wanted to ask Shaan who is responsible for that and what have you done about it? It is utterly unacceptable to me that a parent can truly believe that their kid is incapable of loving ever. Does that not feel like condemning your kid to a loveless existance ? Every heart has a key and has potential to open up as long as it is the right key. The concern with the relationship in the toxic environment of Sabherwals is not unfounded but both Astha and Shaan have experience now and can guide Shaakhi couple if the need ever arises. I just can't with this couple when it comes to parenting.

I wish for the realization of love to be stretched because that is fun to watch when the couple are constantly tying to figure if they love or they don't and if the other person will reciprocate or not. It would be fun to see Shaurya attracted to Anokhi but constantly beating himself up about having these feelings for his student and struggling to maintain decorum. While Anokhi is constantly trying to read between lines what Shaurya means, now that Reema has put a doubt in her head. Their desire to see each other and spend time together but hesitating because of what that would imply and fear of exposing one's feeling to other person and scaring them away.

I'm about to have an all out gush-fest. Friday's episode did a good job bringing multiple stories together - Shaan with his Noor, the Sabherwals at home(little bit of Bebo/Anmol), and ShaKhi.

Looks like everytime I feel bad about the character inconsistencies, they give me an episode that covers up for it. I am talking about Aastha here. I critiqued her the last two days. Today she made me praise her.

Didn't you feel like someone read your reviews :-) Finally you see the maternal side of Aastha...being able to pick up on those subtle changes that Shaan is clearly blind to.

ShaKhi: "shikayat mein bhi pyaar hota hain, Shaan" Aastha's line aptly summarizes Anokhi's current feelings for Shaurya. She complains because she expects and she expects because she trusts him. She considers him someone who is her own.

More than Anokhi saying anything. I also really liked Aastha's summary of it.

Even now we see her kidding with him, taunting him, asking promises, laughing with him. "Apna ego aur gussa idhar hi chor ke jaiye" "Shayad usse khud pata nahi ki vo kya feel karti hain"

I loved all of that! They had a real conversation....with sorrys, thank yous and pleases. And as you said promises! I could not get over how smiley Mr. Khadoos was! I was wondering how they would bring about this change in Shaurya's character, from the stern one to the passionate one. KV is doing a good job with the slow transition. Shaurya is slowly shedding some of his baggage when he's with Anokhi.

As for Anokhi, she really admires that "professorial" part of him. She values education and really seems to be blown away by the fact that she has this support system in him. Remember when she came to Chandigarh with just a dream, no place to stay, and she didn't even get to eat anything and almost fainted on the SIAC steps. Now she has someone driving her back, helping her find housing, and concerned about her eating. That belief and security has to be so paramount for her.

I am glad CVs didn't forget her share of mistakes and made her apologize for that. Normally, in ITV the ML's faults are so obvious that the audience tends to forget the FL's faults and never make them say sorry. This was a nice change.

I totally agree. It's soooo nice to see her acknowledge that she overstepped. Shaurya also has made peace with the fact that Anokhi loves Aastha.

We got a new name for Shaurya. PS.

This name thing is going to have to go through a slow evolution too. I don't know what she'll end up with, but hopefully something that's "respectable"

Thanks for making it clear that they were using a GPS.

So many people noted this. I'm glad we acknowledge that people don't get "lost" these days. But people do lose service in the backroads.

I am glad he controlled his anger on Anokhi today.

I think it was irritation. He has a short fuse and goes off. At least we know he knows how to control it. Anokhi is always "itna gussa....kyun". We've discovered the antidote is Miss Bhalla.

"Itna bhi sorry mat boliye sir ki uske mayne hi badal jaye" "Itna bhi sir mat bholiye" I really enjoyed that exchange between them.

"Sabkuch akele hi ka gayu muje pucha bhi nahi" when she was munching on his "interesting khana"

I think the "interesting khana" line had dialogues before it that might have gotten edited out. It didn't flow as naturally. I don't think Shaurya or Anokhi have eaten all day. He was at the flat in the morning, then he followed for 90km, didn't eat in the dhaba, didn't eat after with the bridge conversation.

Shaan: "Shaurya mera beta hain aur main use ache se janta hu" "Shaurya kisise Pyaar nahi karsakta". I appreciate his intentions. He doesn't want his son to end up like him or Anokhi to be thrown out like Aastha was.

You're giving Shaan more credit than I'm willing to. He's a bad father who doesn't know his own son's heart. Shaan is so selfish that he only sees his own pain. Shaan found time and space to support Anokhi because it was tied to his Noor, but his own son is like an afterthought for him.

Hopefully Shaan will witness Shaurya talking about his 'ideal girl' and put it together that only Anokhi fits the bill!

Aastha: Yay! Happy about her today. I observed when she talked about ShaKhi relationship, she was mostly speaking in Shaurya's favor. Shaan rather spoke in Anokhi's favor. I feel if they switched Shaan and Aastha POV on Shakhi's relationship, it would make more sense (not that it won't make me curse Aastha). Overall, I felt caring for your son over student a typical and obvious thing. I won't really blame her for this.

Aastha is no ideal mother, but she at least can read situations well. She's known the khadoos side of her son that seeing the changes is obvious. I didn't see Aastha make a judgement, just some observations that Shaurya has changed due to Anokhi. And also that Anokhi has started valuing Shaurya's opinions too.

Devilok: "Mera Shaurya aisa nahi ha" We all know how her Shaurya is. Ab toh Shaurya ki shaadi pakki. I felt the bit where she watches Kanchan dance and doesn't fume a bit out of character. How come she didn't say anything when Kanchan danced?

Devi knows her son as much as Aastha and Shaan do apparently. I can't wait for the conversations about ideal Sabherwal bahus again.

As for Kanchan dancing, I think it was because last time it was in public. At home, I'd like to believe even Devi is more easy going.

Finally we have confirmation of who's who. We got three "dating" couples on the show now. Let's see the parallels between them all.

Precap: Reema sensed something cooking. My naive Anokhi hasn't! It won't be too late until she starts falling too, I guess. On the other hand, Shaurya makes a promise to Badi Ma. My bet is she will ask him to marry another girl when things run out of her hands. How do I know? I grew up watching ITV.

Reema's observations seem too quick. There must be a scene that sets off her spidey sense.

Badi ma is going to do what Badi mas do I guess. Guilt their children into marriage. For someone like Shaurya, that should push him to move things along with Anokhi.

Hehe that last line...isn't it funny that ITV has followed the same formula show after show that we know what the masala mix is going to be.
