Dev got lost in
Payal's chocolate brown eyes
She shied away
And lowered her gaze
He watched her every move
With a yearning, all dazed
She silently asked him to look away
But all he did
Was give her a cheeky grin
As he gazed at the chocolate eyes
And sought to extinguish his hunger
She heaped on his plate
sabzi (veggies), dal, rice, and hot pepper
He basked under her euphoric gaze not knowing
that he filled his mouth with fiery hot pepper
She watched aghast
Silently trying to warn him
But all he felt was his mouth sizzle
He coughed and gasped
As the fiery pungence seared his mouth
So she offered him water
To quench the fire
The fire started a chain reaction
For she looked at him and giggled in delight
He looked longingly at her and forgot his tongue's fiery plight
Her eyes all lit up she was smiling at him
Warmness filled their hearts creating a seal
In love
I am in love
Both silently breathed
