Service Wali Bahu: Payal's family accepts Dev as her would-be husband!
So far we had seen Dev getting totally besotted with Payal while his greedy father strategizing to hook him with her. In the recent episodes, it is revealed that Ayodhya is playing along with his father Jogeshwar Prasad to fix Payal's marriage with Dev. Gulkand comes to know about the arrival of Payal's family to Jogeshwar's house for further discussion on marriage. She rushes to enlighten Payal's family about the ulterior motive of the Prasads but in the nick of time, Ayodhya stops her from foiling his father's plan.
On Holi, Dev musters courage to propose Payal. But when he comes to know that her family is in talks with a boy about her marriage, Dev realises his mistake and seeks apology from her.
Later, Dev and his father Jogeshwar visit the Rai residence to meet Payal. Payal and her family get stunned to see that Dev is Jogeshwar's son. Payal's mother informs her husband about Dev's proposal to Payal. Bhuvaneshwar Rai gets baffled at this revelation but his youngest daughter tells him that Dev is not a bad human otherwise he would have not sought apology from Payal for proposing her.
Payal's family forgives Dev and gives their nod of consent to the match. Payal too expresses liking for Dev and blushes looking at him. Witnessing his plan work in his favour, Jogeshwar Prasad gets happy. Later, while enjoying the food with the Rai family, Dev is asked about his occupation by Payal's father Bhuvaneshwar Rai. This question leaves Jogeshwar speechless and he looks for a way to trick the Rai family once again. As Dev begins speaking the truth, Jogeshwar intervenes to speak on his behalf. Jogeshwar tells a lie and boasts about the coaching institute run by Dev in the city. He also invites the Rai family to visit the institute to see it with their own eyes.
On the other hand, Dev feels surprised to think how destiny played cupid in uniting him and Payal in an unusual manner. He worries about the occupational disparities between him and Payal but resolves to work hard to secure a good job if he gets married to Payal.
