Zee TV's new daily series Service Wali Bahu' has left us awestruck. The dialogues have been written intelligently and are being delivered equally well by the artists of the show. The actors have been styled keeping in view every little detail of the character and the storyline has been rendered the authenticity that will keep the viewers hooked and booked.
Service Wali Bahu' is about a simple Rai family living in a small town near Jamshedur called Chaibasa. The heart of the family is Payal (Kratika Sengar) who is a meritorious PWD engineer. Not just she is educated, but she has a heart of gold. She is the pride of her family and even the society of which she is a part. Her simpleton father Bhuvneshwar Rai lives by his ideals. He is seeking a family for his daughter that will appreciate her qualities and is strictly against giving dowry.
On the other hand, there is Prasad family headed by the patriarch Jogeshwar Prasad (Atul Srivastava) and his elder son Ayodhya (Vineett Kumar) who worship the practice of seeking dowry and are selfish to the core. Dev (Abhishek Rawat) the good-hearted younger son of Jogeshwar Prasad falls in love with Payal for her simplicity and goodness after destiny connects him to her via a wrong number on phone. Payal meanwhile continues to remain oblivious to Dev's feelings.
Of all the characters, it is Gulkand (Akshara Singh) who stands out. She is the eldest bahu of the Prasad family and a firebrand with nerves of steel. She is not the one to tolerate any nonsense from her husband and in-laws coz she has brought in tons of dowry in marriage and a huge baggage full of whims. Her hilarious one-liners, upfront answers and downright honest nature make her the most interesting character of the lot. She stands like a mirror to show the ugliness of her greedy in-laws. So don't miss out on watching her in action.
Being fed-up with Gulkand's I-wanna-be-the-boss-of-the-house' behaviour, the Prasads are not keen on asking for dowry directly rather they want a Service Wali Bahu who they would use like a milch breed and enjoy her salary throughout the life. Jogeshwar, who is hugely impressed with Payal's professional credentials, has been eyeing her for his son Dev. The conspiracy has been hatched and a trap has been laid to bring Payal into the Prasad family. But will she learn about Prasad's ulterior motive or will she fall prey to the new practice of seeking dowry?
Stay tuned for more scoops and news updates on the show.
