Aha Kalyanam has a similar reminiscing during Surya and Maha's wedding night, but I felt that was cheap and sleazy. In MK, it was totally funny and did not sound bad. Waiting for Tom and Jerry scenes! smiley42Also, hoping that arrraganttt is pronounced properly smiley36

the way Gaja amma explained abt thr first night....hw her hubby gav tat innocent shy luk...smiley37smiley37

Bakkiyalakshmi:

Didn't expect Ganesh to come back and 'haunt' Amirtha, but curious to see how it plays out, and whom Amirtha will accept at the end. Wonder if they will complicate things with Amirtha choosing to have another child with Ezhil, since Granny is insisting.

Was really funny to see Amirtha's mum tricking Ganesh into going outside to call Amirtha, and then closing the door on him. Smart (but sad) move.smiley37

Bakkiya and Pazhani's track seems to have taken a backseat for now. My thought is this - Bakkiya should have full freedom (for once) regarding her choice on whether to marry Pazhani. If she wishes to, good for her, she deserves another chance in (true) love and a relationship, regardless of her age. If she chooses to remain single, that is fine - but it should be because she is content with where she is now, and not out of fear of what others may think of her if she marries Pazhani. (And no more sathiyam vangufying, family members. smiley7) I just love the way she is hitting back at Gopi with words, especially in recent episodes. smiley32

Regarding Chezhiyan's track, my only comments are: Poor Jenny. smiley13

Ugh. So irritating. I really really wish Bhagya's character arc was more well defined and bolder.

Enough of this athai sothai mariyaadhai. She really should give it back to this extremely ungrateful and toxic person like Eshwari and really ask her to leave the house if she can't respect Bhagya and go live with that psycho son of hers, whom she seems to have zero problems with. Same treatment for the super annoying and selfish Iniya. I know this is just a serial, but I was so triggered especially with the dialog "nee matha divorced pombalainga maari aa irundhe" from Eshwari... what the freakin' hell does this dialog even mean? There are so many positive ways to move this show along and this is what the directors do?! So disappointing. And then unnecessary plot deviations like Ganesh returning from the dead, what absolute nonsense.

I am old enough to remember the K Balachandar serials of those days, how progressive and how well defined the women in those serials were and how women are shown these days - either helpless victims or vindictive witches. These seem like the only 2 arcs reserved for women. Can at least one serial show a woman with an ounce of self respect, and not put up with all the nonsense this society already dishes out to her?

Did the psycho Malini really say to Chezhiyan "unga kozhandhai dhaan mukkiyam, enna pathi enga yosipeenga" :-o How is this even a meaningful dialog?!!!!! What utter nonsense is this?!!!

He seems to be competing with his dad on being the worst character to ever be written!!

Baakiyalakshmi. His wife delivered a baby and he spent the night at his other woman's house because she was threatening to not eat! Yuck.
