That’s sad if the PH chased Vasanth out by not treating him well. Only in serials we don’t see self respect much but this is real life, he must have felt really bad at the way he was being treated. If others came in support, they would have been fired too. Also why did they cast him if they didn’t like the way he acted. Poor guy got the short end of the stick both in Season 1 and 2.
Venkat is definitely giving plenty of Jeeva vibes. Being a Jeeva fan myself, I don’t mind Venkat as an actor but the PH and the writers should not have repeated the actors and characters in this season as well. Like I said yesterday, SM are now slowly becoming JM and their storyline is pivoting to what JM endured in Season 1. These problems all stemmed from Hema being casted as Meena in this season as well with minimal changes to her characterization from Season 1. 80% of Meena we see in this season is how Meena was in Season 1.
That's true. Same actress and same character name. This name Meena has been stuck on her for years that people may forget her real name Hema. The story of Meena in S1 and S2 is so identical. 2nd daughter in law in the family. Married against the family's wish. Only difference is here she was married into the family 1st and a working lady

I have a feeling he was let go to bring Venkat as the pair fir Meena. They don’t want to let go off her but this guy paid the price
After watching the recent episodes in FF mode, it is clear that writing team and the director is going to great lengths to whitewash Pandian, period. In the process they are further vilifying Vel brothers by making Shaktivel throw his mother out of the house and saying through Gomathi’s false narrative. Also Gomathi’s overacting, continued immaturity and finally trying to get on the good books of Kathir after ruining his life, name, respect is too much to handle. She is still selfish and all about herself. Raji again taking a hasty decision to teach without anyone knowing about it except Meena is going to get her in trouble. This time even Kathir won’t be able to support her. Raji talking to Pabdian about Kathir and his actions were good bit Pandian’s response made me think of this guy is bipolar as well. He says one thing but his actions are despicable there by justifying his mean behavior.
I liked only 2 things in the past episodes- Kathir not wanting to answer TM’s questions (not once but twice) about not taking up the acting driver job. He simply kept quiet, when he already asked her to stay out of other peoples business in that house. 2nd is one when Kathir yet again rejected Pandian’s proposal of working in their store on the weekends atleast. No self respecting individual would take up the offer after repeatedly getting physically and mentally abused, continuously harassed by his own father who is offering him the job.
I didn’t care for Kathir indirectly talking to Gomathi and she feeling happy about it. I found it too fake and not acceptable. No mother will put her child through so much and expect him to forgive her. Mothers are supposed to be selfless and not selfish like Gomathi.
TM’s behavior is also fishy to me. They are trying to project as this nice, innocent person who is concerned about Kathir, Raji, Gomathi, her tiff with Vel family but she could be very well putting up an act and use all these to her advantage in the future. Moreover she will promptly tell her mother what’s going on in the Pandian house, so her mother can give her more ideas on how to separate the family
Pandian is a hypocrite, controlling, manipulative, partial, arrogant, full of attitude, scumbag who doesn’t know to treat his children equally, now bipolar because acts/behaves erratically depending on his mood. No one has the guts to tell him that he made the same mistake 30 years ago that he claims his children have made and created a rift between the families and the public has been shaming him for his kids did. Didn’t he put Vel family through the same trauma. Who is going to make this narcissistic imbecile understand this. What a horrible character written by the team and the audacity with which they defend him in each and every scene is appalling. Gomathi will continue to be a dimwit forever. She cannot think about anyone else except her. No amount of redemption can actually redeem both Pandian and Gomathi.
Though Shaktivel acts is useless, acts in haste, and is stupid (his son Kumaravel is the same way) atleast Muthuvel is not stupid, thinks before acting and wants to avoid any confrontation with Pandian and his family. Unfortunately Ajay Ratnam is not being used properly, made him a guest artist but the actor is capable of much more than that.
After watching the Sunday episode promo, I thought Gandhimathi will move with Gomathi, but after the last 2 episodes, I don’t want her to move with the Pandian family because the writers will take her on a guilt trip as if Gomathi-Pandian did nothing wrong, it was all Vel family’s fault for not accepting them right away, The writers should remember that 30 years ago society and community were closed off, not very progressive and it was very difficult for parents and extended family to accept a love marriage.
That said, the story is going in round and circles with zero progress in any track and certain relationships. After this so called hype, who knows the writers will be back to Saravanan-TM honeymoon track 🤮
Have not been watching the show even on ff mode for a while now. Just some random KR clips on insta that keeps popping up. But I will come back later with all my views once I get through the last two weeks. Three things that I cannot accept now that Venkat has taken up the role -
1. Him calling Stalin Appa
2. Him addressing Saravanan as Anna
3. Most most important - Meena addressing him with respect - all that neenga, vanga, ponga etc etc. sucks big time and grating to hear.

I too felt the same that he is trying to cover up for the channel and he dont want to say anything against them as he may want to comeback to CWC as Wildcard, so he didn't want to go against them.
I too find him contradicting in his words where he says he quit without a backup and one point he said people were upset with him leaving but was okey when he said he is going to be a hero.
I find people like him, Akash, Ashwin all really wanting to be in the cinema so badly but there is already many fishes there and they need to get their first big break. Like Ashwin got all that but one wrong speech caused him a lot that we don't see him now.
The two hours weekend episode for me was more like a filler as there was no progress in that episode. The main core in the episode was Gandhimathi missing Gomathi and wanting to speak to her. They showed till the extend of Sakthi pushing her out but she eventually went back into the house. Kathir also decided to not work in Pandian's shop. So basically there was no movement in the episode and just to drag the episode to fulfill the 2 hours requirement.
Based on how Gandimathi has been talking about her death, looks like they might end her character soon and there could be drama during the funeral where the Vels don't allow anyone else to come and visit. Poor thing Gandhimathi never get to speak to Gomathi and spend time with Gomathi's childrens
